Empecé con un nuevo pasatiempo que quería hacer hace mucho y es el patchwork, que consiste en hacer recuadros de tela, la idea es cortar cuadrados/rectángulos/ o cualquier forma geométrica para coserla y formar o un dibujo o patrones con tela, que puede ser usar en alfombras o mantas, también almohadones y hay una tendencia nueva en indumentaria.
I started with a new hobby that I wanted to do for a long time and it is patchwork, which consists of making fabric squares, the idea is to cut squares / rectangles / or any geometric shape to sew it and form or a drawing or patterns with fabric, which can be use on rugs or blankets, also cushions and there is a new trend in clothing.
En mi caso quería darles un uso a mis retazos, note que tengo demasiados y necesito telas nuevas para mis nuevos proyectos, pero como estoy tomando más conciencia de como contamina y lo que cuesta producir una tela así que intento darle a cada pedacito un uso. Para hacer esto solo necesito la tela, una tabla de corte y un cúter circular y listo, a empezar a cortar.
In my case I wanted to give my scraps a use, I noticed that I have too many and I need new fabrics for my new projects, but as I am becoming more aware of how it pollutes and what it costs to produce a fabric so I try to give each piece a use. To do this I only need the fabric, a cutting board and a circular cutter and voila, to start cutting.
Lo que hice fue medir en lienzo lo que pude rescatar lo más plano posible y terminé con un rectángulo de 26 * 25 aproximadamente. En las telas de colores lo que hice fue cortar de forma recta los retazos para formar el mismo rectángulo. Una vez que corté todos mis rectángulos los uní con máquina recta alternando entre violeta y gris.
What I did was measure on canvas what I could rescue as flat as possible and I ended up with a rectangle of approximately 26 * 25. In the colored fabrics what I did was cut the pieces straight to form the same rectangle. Once I cut all my rectangles I joined them with a straight machine alternating between purple and gray.
El paso siguiente entrando al final fue unir las tapas dejando un espacio para voltear y rellenar, el relleno también está compuesto de trocitos de tela que fui guardando para no descartar y eso fue todo.
The next step at the end was to join the lids, leaving a space to turn and fill, the filling is also made up of pieces of fabric that I was saving so as not to discard and that was it.
