¿Cuántas fueron?, ¿lograron cumplirlas?; yo me propuse retomar proyectos en hiatus o a medio hacer.
Durante 2019 empecé muchas cosas que no termine, porque quise que todo fuera “absolutamente perfecto”, y puse tanto empeño en las primeras etapas de esos proyectos, que termine cansada y obstinada.

Necesitaba un morral grande, pero lo menos llamativo posible para cuando tuviera que ir de compras al centro de la ciudad (
que es muy peligroso, y es necesario mantener un bajo perfil para que no te asalten).

I needed a large, but as inconspicuous as possible backpack for when I had to go shopping downtown (
which is very dangerous, and you need to keep a low profile so you don't get mugged).
Este bagpack era también un reto que quería asumir, e imaginaba lo badass que me sentiría yendo de compras por materiales (para craftear y para seguir mis Cosplays), guardándolos en mi mochila hecha a medida 😎
Porque de verdad, DE VERDAD necesitaba una mochila a medida (todas mis carteras son demasiado pequeñas, o demasiado grandes, o llaman la atención, no sirven para ir a estos lugares).
This bagpack was also a challenge I wanted to take on, and I imagined how badass I would feel going shopping for materials (to craft and to keep making my Cosplays), storing them in my custom made backpack 😎
Because I really, REALLY needed a custom backpack (all my bags are too small, or too big, or conspicuous, no good for going to these places).
Eso porque cuando iba de compras, pasaba por muchas tiendas diferentes y terminaba con muchas bolsas de distintos tamaños: Las de telas pesadas aplastaban las delicadas cintas, y eso me desquiciaba.
That's because when I went shopping, I would go through many different stores and end up with many bags of different sizes: The ones with heavy fabrics would crush the delicate straps, and that did drive me crazy.
Pero desde el principio, puse tanto empeño en cortar todas las piezas con “precisión milimétrica”, que cuando comencé a ensamblar todo ya estaba muy cansada del proyecto y quería hacer otra cosa…
But from the beginning, I put so much effort in cutting all the pieces with "millimetric precision", that when I started to assemble everything I was already very tired of the project and I wanted to do something else...
Mirando hacia atrás, debí tomarme las cosas más relajadamente, porque no me divertí para nada, y termine guardando todo a medio ensamblar en una maleta.
O sea, a mitad de camino terminé cansada, aburrida, y sin el morral que necesitaba para ir de compras (・´з`・)
Looking back, I should have taken things more relaxed, because I had no fun at all, and ended up packing everything half-assembled in a suitcase.

Por supuesto, ¡no todo fue malo!, hay partes de la costura que (modestamente) quedaron muy limpias y bien hechas, y estoy orgullosa de eso.
Especialmente por el forro, que esta hecho de una tela económica para sábanas con un estampado hermoso que fue popular en 1990 (principal motivo por el que la compré, me recuerda al papel con que mis maestras de primaria forraban las carpetas de los niños) 🌺 🍃
Of course, it wasn't all bad!, there are parts of the sewing that (modestly) came out very neat and well done, and I'm proud of that.
Especially for the lining, which is made of an inexpensive sheeting fabric with a beautiful print that was popular in 1990 (main reason I bought it, reminds me of the paper my elementary school teachers used to line children's folders with) 🌺 🍃
Actualmente el morral esta hecho en un 50%, la parte mas difícil ya esta lista, y espero terminarlo los primeros días de Agosto.
¡Por cierto!, la tela denim que utilicé es de uno de los pantalones que no pude arreglar de la torre de pantalones infinita, no todos pudieron salvarse 😅 pero puedes ver aquí lo que pasó con los que sí tuvieron futuro 👌
Currently the backpack is 50% done, the most difficult part is ready, and I hope to finish it the first days of August.

Después de esta experiencia puedo decirles que ser perfeccionista esta muy bien, en un mundo donde a casi todo mundo le da pereza esforzarse por hacer las cosas medianamente bien, ser perfeccionista es una característica que te hará notablemente sobresaliente...
... pero, PERO, P E R O, sacrificar en el proceso tu alegría hasta el punto de odiar lo que se supone debería divertirte y hacerte feliz, por buscar la perfección, no es sano.
Voy a terminar este bagpack y prometo unas lindas fotos (y si el clima lo permite, un bonito video con lo que logre aprender de todos los tutoriales para 3Speaker que están publicándose) 🎥 🎒 ✨
