This post is my participation in NeedleWorkMonday’s Decor Challenge
I really liked the idea of this challenge. But it took me a whole week to decide what exactly I want to do. I found several options for myself, but they all took time to implement. In any case, I finally realized what exactly I want to see in my composition: cones, pompons and something crocheted (or snowflakes, or Christmas trees, or bells). So here's my composition!
The first is the pom-poms. I love them and I have a lot of them in different colors. For my winter composition, I chose the blue pom-poms.
The second is the bumps! I have a lot of cones in my house. My husband and I go to collect them in the park. Then I disinfect them and only then use them.
To do this, I painted the bumps a little blue.
The bumps turned out great !!!!
And the third one I chose bells!
I had never crocheted bells before and had to learn how to do it. At first I crocheted a large bell. It turned out very nice! But I wanted the bells to be smaller, so I tried different knitting patterns.
I decided to decorate the bells with small bows at the top.
I liked the little bells better. They are gentle.
I crocheted four small bells. Two bells are slightly larger and two are slightly smaller.
I ended up with five bells: one large and four small.
Next was the hardest part. I tried several options to collect all this into one composition, but I did not like it - the composition did not look like a single whole. And only today I did it!
The top of my winter composition is soft and fluffy as snow - this is a crocheted white flower and blue pom-poms.
Below there are white tender bells and even lower blue massive bumps, representing a strong, stable base.
But the presence of the large bell at the bottom softens the hardness of the bumps and balances this.
I really like the result and I am very glad that I was able to do it !!!!
My goal is for my Winter composition to hang freely, don't touching to the wall. I have not yet figured out exactly where I want to hang it, but it should look something like this:
I didn’t have time to find a suitable place in my apartment for my the Winter Composition, as only today I finished my work with this. But I really wanted to participate in this fun competition 😀
I'm sure we'll see a lot of wonderful, beautiful ideas for this competition! 😃
