Recycling An Old Lacy Blouse From Rummage Store to A Beautiful Throw Pillow

Hello everyone! I went to a rummage store yesterday to look for some floor mats. They make floor mats for unsold items. I need extras due to prolonged rains and heavy wind due to ETCZ causing more dusts around.

I found this XXXL lace blouse with a little torn hole but still manageable. As I looked at the design, the thick lace/brocade fits more for a table center piece or a throw pillow instead of wearing it.

I measured a 22-inch square for the pillow case and lining.

I patched the small holes that were easily concealed.

Putting a lining on the lace will make it more durable too. Further, I zigzagged the zipper for a clean look and to avoid the protruding threads from getting entangled which is the usual case that could possibly damage the zipline. Take note that the zipper should be attached first before attaching the two pieces.

Ain't it beautiful? I have "something old-something new" to remember on my 65th birthday this coming Friday the 13th!

Thank you and God bless us all!
