Needlework Monday: My Own Version of 2-in-1 Face Mask with Built-in Face Shield

Hello there my co-needleworkers and to all hiveans out there! Here's my presentation for today: my own version of face shield with built-in face mask.

Honestly, it's hard to put on your specs when you have face mask on already. Most of all, I don't want to walk around with my helmet on for the face shield! More so, I feel uncomfortable with that wide garterized band attached to your forehead!

I thought of making a pattern and the lining.

Actually, I got it from the lower part of our back seat cover. LoL!

I made a face shield pattern from the certificate folder and sewed it along with the mask which is thicker than that of the commercial face shield.

You should start from the center for uniformity of the pattern and the base.

You may leave an open entry on the other end if you want to insert another layer. According to the Dept. of Health, it's better if you can double the layer of your mask as much as possible for safer security measures.

That's how it would look like!

See to it that there is enough space for breathing.

Now I can ride my motorcycle with clear vision using my specs with my face shield still on! I admit that there are times when I forget my shield or the other. With this, I only need to carry one and my helmet.:)

As of now, we're not allowed to enter our City Hall without mask and face shield. Well, I already have this two-in-one facemask with shield. No problem!

Thank you for dropping by my page and also thanks to @crosheille, @muscara , @marblely and @neumannsalva.

Till then,
