[ESP-ENG] DIY Agarra-ollas con material reutilizable (Paso a paso) /// Holder pots with reusable material (Step by step)

ENGLISH

Good morning and blessed start of the week and productive start of the month for everyone, especially to my beautiful and successful entrepreneurs of the @NeedleWorkMonday community.

Today I bring you the step by step of how to make a pot holder to renovate my kitchen.

Following a little bit the recycling theme, since the fabric I used for this project is from the legs of a pair of jeans.

First things first, organize the space, research and imagine your project and put together your patterns.

The materials I used were:

  • Needles
  • Threads
  • Scissors
  • Pattern on paper
  • Assorted fabrics
  • Bias
  • In this case I used foam rubber that I had in my stash, but any thick fabric can be used for the stuffing, even scraps of denim.

I cut my fabrics, two 18 cm x 18 cm squares.

I pulled out my pattern to size and cut from what would be the embellishment on the front, in this case a beautiful heart.

I adjusted with the help of pins to then sew the entire edge with the zigzag.

This should look like this

To make the quilting, I sewed in a straight line the fabric with foam rubber.

Then I joined the two fabrics together, pinning them together and sewing with the bias binding.

To finish the stitching I made it by hand because I did not want to force my machine with a thick seam, making a ring to hang with the same bias

This is the final result of my project, I love what I achieved and I hope you like my model.
