En esta oportunidad les quiero mostrar un lindo camino de mesa tejido a crochet con los colores clásicos de la navidad. Espero les guste.

Blessed Monday dear needleworkers, we start a new week and with it a new Monday to meet and share our needlework projects.

We are already in the middle of November, that means that Christmas is getting closer and closer; that's why I've been knitting some Christmas projects at the request of some relatives. This time I want to show you a nice crochet table runner with the classic Christmas colors. I hope you like it.

As I have told you in previous posts, colored and unbleached wick is my favorite material when it comes to weaving projects for the kitchen. I really like its intense colors and the texture that makes the projects much firmer.

For this table runner I worked with the classic and iconic Christmas colors: red, green and white.

I must confess that I am a bit obsessed with granny squares; not only do I love their versatility when it comes to creating and designing patterns, but I am also fascinated by how quickly the knitting progresses when I use the granny stitch. That's why this new project also includes a granny square, only with a variation that makes the table runner look even more eye-catching.

The base of this table runner is a nine-loop granny square. After combining and distributing the three colors and the raw wick in those nine turns, I turned the square to work it, thereafter as a diamond. I knit six more rounds (two of each color), but this time I left the first three holes in each corner free.

Then knit six more loops, but in this case, leave the first two holes on the edges free. In this way, a kind of steps are formed and the table runner grows until it reaches the desired size.

After obtaining the required length, it only remains to weave the entire edge of the table runner. For this I chose to use the red yarn as I consider it to be the best color for it, however, you can also weave it with the green border.

I can truly say that I was fascinated with the final product and I found it very easy to knit this pattern. I will probably knit a bigger one for my mom since she loved this Christmas table runner. I hope you will like this project too. Thank you for reading my post, greetings and blessings.
