Hello crafter hivers,
After I made the Twirly Beanie, hmm my bff, my classmate 2nd year high school, my dance partner in our time, my neighbor before, this was Philippines pre-martial law days, liked my profile FB pic. She loved the Twirly Beanie I wore. We chatted, oh it is her birthday on Wednesday. So, I rushed making another Twirly Beanie for her she can wear during winter time when she and her hubby go back to California, in exchange she will give me Ternate plant and other indoor plants she have. She is an indoor plant collector. Love this barter style.
But, oh oh the result, I will not have another new project to share to #needleworkmonday I was a little sad yesterday because I really want the no absent post every monday on this community. Aha moments occured last night! Message just pop up on messenger by Jumar. Sending me pictures of his crochet works.
Wow! Beautiful rugs, hot pads or as table pad for vases. This is his forte! So, I Interviewed him and asked permission to blog about his business. His creation just fit for a man's grip. It is painful to crochet cloth yarn or tarn. I can relate. He uses tape(cloth) yarn from Korea and double ended gold hook. He send, too the picture of his gold hook before turned silver, over used!
This is his business for 6 years now. Chinese business man, neighbors and friends ordered his rugs. But, when pandemic started, his materials from Korea stopped shipment. He offered me I will buy his remaining stocks of round rugs and invited me to visit his place in Barangay Guadalupe in Cebu City. I said, "I will."
Guys, If you appreciate Jumar's creation this is his FB account you can pm him. Let's support this industrious and persevere man, his handmade business.
Me, this week I will order his round crocheted cloth rug so, he can experience Lala move deliveries or Maxim but most of all I am interested to buy his tape yarn, ahahaha, for my design in mind.
Oh, by the way here is what I am making now, I must finish this tonight, tomorrow I will give this to my bff. I will visit Carcar City again for a geotechnical site visit, then pass by my bff house in Talisay City.
Thanks for dropping by...
