Fashion craft (tailoring); making a native attire.

hi hivians, actually this is my first time of posting here on needles and thread community, I've been following up with different blogs here and I can say that they are all interesting and would also love to make friends with you guys and as well share ideas on fashion designing. I hope I'm welcome here on this innovative community.

today is actually a public holiday (a democracy day) in my country, Nigeria in west Africa. and so I decided to do some sewing ( a native attire ) to be precise.
this morning a friend of mine brought some clothing materials for me to sew for him and I chose to use my spare time for making the clothes this morning.

Now in this line of fashion designing, one has to be very creative in making trending styles, visualize clothing designs, and also knowing each designs that suits some materials texture. I believe not all styles are good for all clothes texture or materials. so being a tailor and also a fashion designer or fashionista would really be of huge benefit to anyone that are into clothing lines.

But in this case my here decided that he wants something very simple and unique but not flashy, and I gave him my catalog for him to at least pick a design he wants for himself.

Minutes after taking his measurements, I went ahead to get the necessary equipments like,

  • thread
  • elastic rubber
  • buttons
just to kick start the whole thing. in this fashion line, for you to become great in it, one has to be passionate about it. there's this saying I love telling people around it says that " follow your passion and success will surely follow you" I can boldly tell you that there's no atom of fallacy in what I just stated now. honestly speaking it has been my drive to success. not only in fashion line but other things ( profession).

This is the finish product of the native attire I made... it's called a simple senator style with no designing on it as stated by the customer or owner.

I've taken my time to check different blogs on the community. I'm convinced that it's a nice place to be.
