Crochet Tutorial #14 Crochet Sunflower Applique

For this #needleworkmonday, I'm gonna share to you another commissioned project that I was working this past few days. I'm already done with the body part, the top and the bottom. By this time, I'll be showing you how to make crochet sunflower applique and how to manually attach it to the outfit. This is my version of Rosie's outfit of Blackpink.

And this one is the Blackpink with their crochet costume.

I was having fun while working at this knowing that I will recreate the crochet outfit of one of the member of the famous Blackpink. Well, aside from its vibrant colors, it was I think easy to do also.

  • magic circle

1st layer

  • chain 2 (hdc), half double crochet 11, then lock

2nd layer

  • chain 1, sc 1, sc 2 (on same stitch), sc 1, sc 1, sc 2 (on same stitch) {repeat pattern until end then lock}

  • chain 13, hdc on 3rd chain, then double crochet 8, hdc 1, sc 1 on the last chain and slip stitch to the next stitch. This one serves your sunflower petal.
  • repeat pattern until you surround the petals evenly.

  • sew the sunflower applique manually (I prefer sewing every petals than using any sticky substance since it is more durable and can last longer though it only takes a longer time.)
  • begin at the center, then next are the petals

And we're done! Easy as 1,2,3. Isn't it? Hope you like it girls. Godbless.
