Mending my jeans

Mending my jeans

My name is Jhonny and welcome to my blog, In this publication I want to show you how you are going to be able to repair all those breaks, tears that you get in a jean, either in the crotch area or in the knee area, because it is an area of high wear, not only the you will be able to repair a break in the crotch area, but also the knee area or in any part of your jeans where they have worn a lot and have come to break; You can also use it when your jeans have already torn or when it is still complete but you feel that the fabric is already too worn and you want to prevent it from breaking, this method will work for you in a super simple way.

The first thing we are going to do is identify the scratch on our pants in this case it is at the crotch height, people who usually wear pants that are a bit tight tend to tear the pants from what is the crotch area.

Materiales:

The materials that we are going to need is a denim patch, you can get it from other old pants, scissors to cut the threads, thread the closest you can find to your pants; in this case I am using a royal blue or you can use a slightly lighter blue which is the color of the pants wear, we will also need pins to keep the fabric in place.

Procedimiento:

1.- The first thing we will do is flatten our fabric as much as possible, making the fabric of the pants take its original shape, without wrinkling, we will place our denim patch on the inside of ourpantalón.

2.- We will try to make the fabric of the hole as smooth as possible to avoid leaving the hole very large and unnatural, we are going to smooth the fabric leaving it as flat as possible.

3.- Now with pins what we will do is hold our fabric leaving it as best as possible, we will place pins as close to the hole we have in our pants

4.- From here, what we will do is try to pass a blunt that is closest to the tear or tear of our pants, it is important that we pass it approximately half a centimeter around the contour of the tear to ensure that it does not fall our cloth patch.

It is very important that you be very careful when giving each of the stitches since we have the pins in place and we can make the needle collide with them and break our needle so be careful with the stitches and if necessary go gradually removing your pins.

5.- The next thing we will do is place a stitch across the tear of our pants simulating a zigzag.

A good stitch is when it is barely visible from the front or the back.

6.- If you also want it to be a little more reinforced, you can now pass the machine horizontally along the entire length of our grating.

Once we have finished it should stay this way, if you notice it is a stitch that is very little noticeable and also the crotch area is too reinforced, the other way around it will look like this.

7.- All that remains is to trim the excess of our fabrics, if you feel that it is getting in your way and for this we are going to use scissors.

It must stay that way and the truth is that it is a repair that is noticeable very little, I hope it will be useful to you and that it will help you to repair many pants that you have worn out there at home, that was all, I hope you liked it and that you put into practice this easy way to repair your jeans.
