Proceso / Process
I made the pattern using a reference image, in the Pixel Station app I drew the image and added the pattern area, then in the Inshot app I added the row and stitch numbers. As you can see, the pattern begins with 16 stitches, but obviously the two edge stitches must be added to this. The patch has a hexagonal shape, so an increase is made on each side in the even or purl rows to obtain 28 more stitches. two edge stitches on the needles, then decrease following the same sequence until you obtain 16 stitches again.

To make this patch, I used two 2mm needles and 1mm acrylic thread. The type of stitch is Jersey, meaning that in the odd numbered rows a right stitch is done and in the odd numbered rows the stitches are done backwards. I started by casting on the 18 starter stitches and then just followed the order of the pattern in terms of increases and color changes.

I used black thread for the stitches that outline the figure, the nose and the eyes of the bear, I used dark brown for the shadow, light brown for the base and beige for the snout, for the heart I used fuchsia for the edge, pink for the base and light pink for light.

Working with such thin needles and thread can be a little uncomfortable, especially because metal needles tend to bend easily, but the results are worth it, the stitch is very small and you can make different figures based on a simple graphic or pixel art, You just have to keep in mind that with the two-needle technique the stitches are wider than they are tall, so the result of the image will always look a little flattened compared to the checkered pattern, that is normal and you have to remember it before Make a project.

After finishing the knitting of the pattern, a row is made to close the stitches, then with a 1.25mm crochet hook and rolled thread I made a row of single crochets on the edge. With thread and a sewing needle I sewed the patch to the cap.

My mother was fascinated with her gift, I am also very satisfied with the result obtained. 🥰 What do you think?
