Saludos querida comunidad, en esta ocasión les comparto dos historias en una, se trata de primera parte de la elaboración de un disfraz de Naruto para el cumpleaños de mi hijo, además de contarles que es la primera vez uso máquina de coser después de 9 años de tener averiada mi máquina con la que en aquel entonces estaba apenas aprendiendo.

Los cumpleaños de mi hijo siempre han sido especiales para mí porque es la única fecha en que realmente me esfuerzo por realizar una celebración, porque no festejamos así ninguna fecha en mi casa. Los primeros cumpleaños de mi hijo fueron a mi gusto, porque él no tenía edad suficiente como para manifestar sus gustos así que yo hacia la decoración como me gustaba, sin embargo esto cambio a medida que fue creciendo, este año me sorprendió mucho cuando me dijo que él quería que su sexto cumpleaños fuera con temática de Naruto, a mi me alegro mucho su decisión porque este anime me gusta , pero pensando en que podría ser algo que él estaba diciendo momentáneamente y luego cambiaría de opinión me encargué de preguntarle lo suficiente como para entender que no él no cambiaría de idea.
My son's birthdays have always been special to me because it is the only date that I really make an effort to hold a celebration, because we do not celebrate any date at home like that. My son's first birthdays were to my liking, because he was not old enough to express his tastes so I did the decoration as I liked, however this changed as he grew older, this year I was very surprised when he told me that he wanted his sixth birthday to be Naruto-themed, I am very happy with his decision because I like this anime, but thinking that it could be something that he was saying momentarily and then he would change his mind I took it upon myself to ask him enough as to understand that he would not change his mind.
Me da mucha ilusión poder hacer un cumpleaños lindo para mi hijo pero aunque en todas la oportunidades yo me he encargado de realizar a mano las decoraciones, este año es una obligación debido a que en todas las tiendas no hay decoraciones de Naruto (ni en mi ciudad ni en la capital de mi estado). En vista de esto decidí comprar tela y realizar en primer el lugar el disfraz de Naruto, sin embargo las telas son costosas y el disfraz de Naruto pequeño tiene la parte de cuello de color blanco, mientras que el de Naruto grande tiene solo dos colores, así que hablé con mi hijo y le hice entender que aunque yo sé que el pequeño es su favorito, solo compre tela para hacer el modelo de traje del Naruto grande y mi hijo estuvo de acuerdo.
I am very excited to be able to make a nice birthday for my son but although I have been in charge of making the decorations by hand on all occasions, this year it is an obligation because in all the stores there are no Naruto decorations (nor in my city or my state capital). In view of this I decided to buy fabric and make the Naruto costume first, however the fabrics are expensive and the small Naruto costume has a white neck part, while the older Naruto costume has only two colors, so I spoke with my son and made him understand that although I know that the little one is his favorite, I only bought fabric to make the costume model of the older Naruto and my son agreed.
Por otro lado, aunque he hecho ropa cosida completamente a mano, esto me toma mucho tiempo así que decidí sacar mi máquina de coser que tenía 9 años averiada con la intención de mandarla a reparar, ese fue el principio de mi odisea buscando un técnico, después de pasear por la ciudad me di cuenta en ninguna local reparaban maquinas de coser , me tocó pedirles referencias a algunas costureras hasta que una prima me dio un número de teléfono, llamé y sonaba como si el teléfono no existiera, decidí escribirle un mensaje por whatssap y en la foto de perfil de este número estaba una chica joven, me dejaron en visto y pensé que posiblemente el técnico no tenia mas ese número de teléfono. Sin embargo, pasaron unos días y repentinamente recibí una llamada de ese número de teléfono, era el técnico que me habían recomendado, pero lamentablemente él no estaba viviendo en la ciudad, por lo que después de conversar un poco él me prometió enviarme por mensajería el numero de teléfono de un técnico que trabaja en la ciudad, dos días después me envió el numero del señor técnico, lo llamé y quedamos en que este vendría a mi casa a ver la maquina.
On the other hand, although I have made clothes sewn completely by hand, this takes me a long time so I decided to take out my sewing machine that was 9 years old with the intention of having it repaired, that was the beginning of Odyssey looking for a technician, After walking around the city I realized that no local repaired sewing machines, I had to ask some seamstresses for references until a cousin gave me a phone number, I called and it sounded as if the phone did not exist, I decided to write her a message by whatssap and in the profile photo of this number there was a young woman, they did not reply to the message and I thought that possibly the technician no longer had that phone number. However, a few days passed and suddenly I received a call from that phone number, it was the technician who had been recommended to me, but unfortunately he was not living in the city, so after talking a little he promised to send me the Telephone number of a technician who works in the city, two days later he sent me the number of the technician, I called him and we agreed that he would come to my house to see the machine.

El día llego y el señor técnico vino, pero las noticias no eran buenas, apenas vio mi maquina me dijo este tipo de maquina es una de las que más se daña, al revisarla observo que una pequeña pieza en forma de piñón que estaba gastada y por eso la maquina no funcionaba, me dijo que esa pieza es difícil de conseguir y que solo se podría comprar en la capital de mi ciudad, después me dijo que haría lo posible por reparar o por lo menos intentar reparar temporalmente esta pieza mientras me daba tiempo de comprar una nueva pieza , él hizo eso y la maquina funcionó, así que entusiasmada decidí buscar videos y leer mucho sobre patrones de pantalones de niño para comenzar por esa parte de disfraz por ser más sencilla.
The day came and the technical man came, but the news was not good, as soon as he saw my machine he told me this type of machine is one of the most damaged, when reviewing it I observe that a small piece in the shape of a pinion that was worn and That is why the machine did not work, he told me that this part is difficult to obtain and that it could only be bought in the capital of my city, then he told me that he would do everything possible to repair or at least temporarily try to repair this part while he gave me time to buy a new piece, he did that and the machine worked, so excited I decided to look for videos and read a lot about patterns of boy's pants to start with that part of the costume because it was simpler.
Cuando conseguí una tabla de medidas para la talla 6 de pantalón para niño, decidí dibujar el patrón en papel de luego transferirlo con sus respectivos márgenes de costura a la tela, este es un patrón pantalón jogger para niños que afortunadamente conseguí en una página llamada caliopefashion al cual realicé modificaciones para convertirlo en el de Naruto.
When I got a table of measurements for size 6 of pants for boys, I decided to draw the pattern on paper and then transfer it with their respective seam allowances to the fabric, this is a jogger pants pattern for boys that fortunately I got on a page called caliopefashion to which I made modifications to turn it into Naruto's pants.
Me gustó mucho realizar esta parte del trabajo, es decir los cortes de para las dos partes del delantero, las dos partes traseras, los bolsillos delanteros y la pretina, asimismo, añadí los cortes donde va el porta kunai o cuchillo en la pierna izquierda con un retazo de tela blanca y negra.
I really liked doing this part of the work, that is, the cuts for the two parts of the front, the two back parts, the front pockets and the waistband, also, I added the cuts where the kunai or knife holder goes on the left leg with a piece of black and white cloth.
Una de las modificaciones mas importantes qué realicé al patrón fue añadir bolsillos ribeteados en la parte de atrás, para esos busqué videos de youtube de coomo realizar bolsillos ribeteados, sin embargo muchos de estos videos eran muy largos y me desesperaba que no llegaran al punto que me interesaba pronto , hasta que conseguí un video de 6 minutos donde explica el proceso de una forma simple y concreta.
One of the most important modifications that I made to the pattern was to add welt pockets in the back, for those I looked for YouTube videos of how to make welt pockets, however many of these videos were very long and I was desperate that they would not reach the point that I was interested in it early, until I got a 6 minute video where he explains the process in a simple and concrete way.
Estaba muy entusiasmada por comenzar a coser, pero la máquina de nuevo no funcionó, esta vez enredaba el hilo por debajo de la costura, estaba completamente estresada intentando arreglar este problemas hasta que al día siguiente no tuve otra opción que llamar al técnico para que la revisara, este logró calibrarla de nuevo y me dijo que cuando esto pasara debía mover la tensión del hilo muy poco.
I was very excited to start sewing, but the machine did not work again, this time it tangled the thread under the seam, I was completely stressed out trying to fix this problem until the next day I had no choice but to call the technician to have it done. Cuando le técnico arregló el problema, cosí en primer lugar la partes de tela blanca y negra de la parte delantera y trasera de la pierna izquierda.

Posteriormente cosí los bolsillos ribeteados, debo decir que aunque la costura de las esquina de los rectángulos que rodean el bolsillo no salieron perfectas , para ser primera vez que realizo este proceso estoy muy satisfecha, atribuyo un poco la dificultad que tuve debido a que no usé una entreleta de las que vienen con pega, sino que en lugar de ello utilicé un tela llamada POP no tejido la cual es más gruesa y por lo tanto resultaba más difícil coser el doblés de las pestañas de los bolsillos, otra de las dificultades fue que la maquina no funciona muy bien con la costura tupo overlock , así que el lugar de ésta realice primero un costura recta y luego volvía a pasar por la misma línea de costura con una puntada tipo Zigzag.
Later I sewed the welt pockets, I must say that although the corner seam of the rectangles that surround the pocket did not come out perfect, for the first time I carry out this process I am very satisfied, I attribute a little the difficulty I had because I did not use an interlining of the ones that come with glue, but instead I used a fabric called POP non-woven which is thicker and therefore it was more difficult to sew the hem of the pocket tabs, another of the difficulties was that The machine does not work very well with the overlocked seam, so the place of this seam first make a straight seam and then go back through the same seam line with a Zigzag stitch.

Tomando un elástico de un largo de 3/4 partes del contorno de cadera, hice la pretina, en el proceso tuve problemas con la máquina, a ésta se le dobló la aguja cuando cosía el elástico, cuando coloqué otra aguja la maquina volvió a enredar el hilo de abajo e las costuras, esto me desanimó mucho, intenté ajustar la maquina por bastante tiempo hasta que funcionó, pero temo que esta sea una falla recurrente con la cual tenga que lidiar siempre que la use y me siento triste por ello, mi ánimo mejoró un poco cuando terminé de coser la pretina y el pantalón la podía medir a mi hijo para tomar el ruedo de las botas de este.

Con la máquina funcionando aunque con mucho temor por una posible falla, decidí hacer el bolsillo del porta kunai, este pequeño bolsillo me pareció un poco difícil de coser debido al tamaño, pero la satisfacción fue grande cuando lo logre, cuando salga iré a una mercería y haré que le pongan un broche a presión para que la solapa del bolsillo de sostenga y sea funcional.
With the machine working although with great fear for a possible failure, I decided to make the pocket of the kunai holder, this small pocket seemed a bit difficult to sew due to the size, but the satisfaction was great when I achieve it, when I leave home I will go to a haberdashery and I will have them put a clasp so that the flap of the pocket holds and is functional.

El pantalón de Naruto es solo la primera parte del disfraz, es cual no estará completo hasta que realice la chaqueta, sin embargo como podrán haber visto en la imagen de referencia, no resulta nada fácil para una principiante, pero no me intimida tanto la forma de chaqueta como lo hace las fallas de la maquina, espero pronto compartir la segunda parte, es decir la chaqueta la cual me comprometo a hacer incluso si la maquina falla y tenga que coser a mano.
