Hand Embroidery | Battering Ram

I don't know what is trend, but recently i realized we make trends. And according to the trend today we are living in 18th century, where people do things by hand.

At that time it was our necessity but now it's a trend people are moving towards organic stuff, hand made stuff and many more. My 2 classmates started their own small businesses one of organic soaps and other of hand made beaded bracelets.

And now I'm also thinking to start my own small business. I'm collecting ideas but still there is nothing that can click me, and i can say oh this is my type of business. But I'm just waiting for right time and right idea.

Till that I decided to give time to my skills because i want them to be perfect. So today on Needlework Monday I decided to do hand embroidery of Battering Ram, splinterlands character. Its appearance is close to Markhor (National Animal of Pakistan).

So let's start...

Procedure

I started doing my hand embroidery by outlining the character with black pencil.

After that i started doing embroidery on its horns, and for that i used brown, yellow and pink threads.

After horns i made embroidery on toes and mouth of the character with a black thread.

After that i started filling the legs of the character with white thread.

And with the same thread i keep filling other parts of the body. I realized the stitches i was making in body was not so good but i kept moving and filled the body with white color.

After shading body with white color i used dark brown thread to do outlines of the body.

In last step i made outline with black thread around the horns too. I was thinking not to do outlining on horns but I found it little empty that's why I outlined the horns too.

And here is the final results👇

That's it for today, will be back with another exciting idea soon. Bye Bye🤪
