Good morning everyone,
I present to you my first handmade men's purse. For a while now I've been wanting to create a men's purse but not sure which design to go for as I want something classy and lovely. So I decided to make something simple first then I can diversify later. This is my first creation and its portable and lovely. It's not a big one as I've learnt guys don't carry stuffs as much as ladies so I made it small but enough to carry the mens necessary essentials. It can contain a phone, cards, jotter, money and earpiece.
Below I'll be showing how I create the purse.
MATERIALS USED
- Black leather
- Fibre
- Suade lining
- Gum
- D ring
- Tagging pin
- Magnets
- Chi board
PROCESS
- First I create the pattern, then I cut out the fibre I will use. Next I capped the leather with the fibre.
- Here I sew the inner pocket with the lining after which I sew the leather lining with the suade lining.
- At the back of the back just below the top, I attach the D ring and which I sew the design to it.
- Next I fixed the magnet to the leather lining, gum it to the bag. To the other side of the bag, I fix the other pair of the magnet and the leather that will hold the flap design.
- Finally, I gum the lining with the other side of the bag and I sew the sides together.
- Here I tagged the anchor with the short handle using tagging pin.
