I want to share with us my new creation. Its the production of a mini black bag which I named "Ria" bag. A customer saw the bag on my page on Instagram and chat me up that she'd love to make the bag and would like to make it in black. Fortunately I had the leather she was interested in on ground so as soon as I received her message, I started work on the bag. The bag is a mini bag but has a special longer handle compared to the small handle other bag has. Below I'll be showing us how I got the bag done.
The materials I used include:
- Black leather
- Black suade lining
- Gas pipe
- Bottom pin
- Gum
- Oketex fibre
- Leather glue
- Magnets
- Chip-board
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to cut the fibre, leather of choice and lining using the already created pattern that I've made. After that, I gum the fibre and leather together.
- Next I wrapped the leather around the gas pipe which I used for the handle and then I made two holes at the upper part of the bag. Into these holes I inserted the bag handle and I gum it down using leather glue.
- Next I sew the leather lining with the suade lining, fox the bottom pins and the magnets to the bag and gum the lining with the main body of the bag. To the sides to I gum the linings to it.
- Finally, I sew the sides to the bag.
