Good Monday to the entire Hive community, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, I am writing to tell you how we can transform jars and bottles into vases, candle holders and decorations for the house.
Muy buen Lunes a toda la comumidad de Hive, desde Buenos Aires, Argentina, les escribo para contarles como podemos transformar frascos y botellas en floreros, portavelas y adornos para la casa.
What do we need: a glass bottle or bottle, cotton thread of 3 mm or less (it depends on the size of the bottle or bottle) that can be frayed at the end, I do not recommend the "cord" type for this work.
Que necesitamos: un frasco o botella de vidrio, hilo de algodón de 3 mm o menos (depende del tamaño de la botella o frasco) que se pueda desflecar al final, no aconsejo para este trabajo el que es tipo "cordón".

Comenzamos cortando una tira que usaremos para colocar todas las tiras, asi que debe ser al menos el doble de la boca del frasco, para trabajar con tranquilidad. Cortamos tiras de 3 veces el largo que le queremos dar al tejido, las doblamos a la mirtad y sujetamos con nudo ALONDRA (si no sabes como hacerlo busca en mi blog la publicación que muestra los nudos de macramé paso a paso).
And here begins the imagination, possibilities: infinite!
In this case I placed 16 strips to separate them into 4 groups and started making flat knots, 2 in the first round, 1 in the next and so on 2 more times.
Y acá comienza la imaginación, posibilidades: infinitas!
En este caso coloqué 16 tiras para separarlas en 4 grupos y comencé haciendo nudos planos, 2 en la primer vuelta, 1 en la siguiente y así 2 veces más.
Then, leaving a non-woven space, I continued with 2 flat knots together only in the middle, the strips on the side (which are larger) I used to hold a fabric with another with a FESTON knot. At this point we put the fabric over the mouth of the bottle and tie with a double knot.
Luego, dejando un espacio sin tejer, continué con 2 nudos plano juntos solo en el medio, las tiras del costado (que quedan mas grandes) las usé para sujetar un tejido con otro con nudo FESTON. Ya a esta altura ponemos el tejido sobre la boca del frasco y atamos con un nudo doble.
Finally, when everything is secured and firm with the knots (you have to arrange everything and hold it with your hands), we fray all the threads with a finite comb.
Finalmente, cuando todo está sujeto y firme con los nudos (hay que ir acomodando todo y sujetando con las manos), desflecamos todos los hilos con un peine finito.
When I posted it on my Instagram, dru_crochet_macrame, they immediately told me that they were going to apply that idea to cover soda bottles .... why not! whatever you want.
