Feliz jueves para todos. Por acá por Venezuela ha hecho un clima estupendo hoy. El ambiente se presta para crear; calmado, silencioso y fresco. Recordé que hace unos días conversé con algunas amigas sobre la educación de los niños a temprana edad lo cual me pareció muy interesante, ustedes ya saben que ser abuela es algo así como otra oportunidad de ser madres. En mi caso particular me estrenaría como madre de una niña ya que solo tengo varones.

Cuando los niños están pequeños los maestros y los padres empleamos estrategias didácticas que simplifiquen y hagan más placentera la educación en los niños. Por ejemplo, en el prescolar venezolano todas las maestras enseñan a los niños a descansar y hacer silencio en las horas determinadas mediante canciones. La más popular es La lechuza. Realmente no me la sé, pero a los niños les encanta el fragmento en el que deben colocarse el dedo en los labios y soplar. Ese fragmento dice: "la lechuza hace así" 🦉 y se colocan en posición de descanso.

When children are young, teachers and parents use didactic strategies that simplify and make education more pleasant for children. For example, in the Venezuelan preschool all the teachers teach the children to rest and be silent at the times determined by songs. The most popular is The Owl. I don't really know, but kids love the snippet where they put their finger to their lips and blow. That fragment says: "the owl does this" 🦉 and they are placed in a resting position.

Quiero mostrarles una Lechuza (la primera que hago cosida) que realicé muy rápidamente. Está la usaré como llavero. Deseo hacer una más grande para entregársela a Sofía pronto. Por los momentos este será mi primer patrón. Cabe destacar que siempre sentí curiosidad de como realizarla hasta hoy que quise indagar un poco. Me cautivó la imagen que vi en una página de facebook de estas que promocionan, creo recordar que se llama CreativeMamy, a partir de lo que vi me inspiré y cree mi lechuza. Espero que les guste.

MATERIALES.

• Retazos de telas.
• Algodón para rellenar.
• Tijeras.
• Hilos de coser.
• Aguja de coser.
• Fieltro.
• Cartulina de construcción.
• Marcador negro.
• Estambre.

MATERIALS.

• Patchwork of fabrics.
• Cotton to fill.
• Pair of scissors.
• Sewing threads.
• Sewing needle.
• Felt.
• Construction cardboard.
• Black marker.
• Stamen.

PASO 1.

• Realizar un triángulo sobre la tela doble.
• Recortarlo y coserlo por las orillas colocando las telas derecho con derecho. Dejando abierto la parte horizontal del rectángulo.
• Luego se voltea la labor.
• Pasar hilo con la aguja de coser (basteado) por toda la orilla horizontal del triángulo.
• Colocar el relleno sin llegar a la punta o pico del rectángulo.
• Halar el hilo y coser para cerrar bien.

STEP 1.

• Make a triangle on the double fabric.
• Cut it out and sew it along the edges, placing the fabrics right with right. Leaving the horizontal part of the rectangle open.
• Then the work is turned over.
• Pass thread with the sewing needle (basted) along the entire horizontal edge of the triangle.

PASO 2.

• Cortamos en estambre unas hebritas para simular las plumitas de la lechuza.

STEP 2.

• We cut some hebritas in yarn to simulate the feathers of the owl.

PASO 3.

• Los detalles. Con fieltro hacemos los ojos. Recortar dos círculos unidos proporcionales al tamaño de la lechuza.
• Recortamos dos círculos separados más pequeños y colocamos en el centro un punto negro con marcador.
• También haremos un lazo.
• Con hilo de coser y aguja bordamos el pico.
• Con la cartulina dibujé y recorté las alitas y las patitas.

STEP 3.

• The details. With felt we make the eyes. Cut out two attached circles proportional to the size of the owl.
• Cut out two separate smaller circles and place a black dot with a marker in the center.
• We will also make a bow.
• With sewing thread and needle we embroider the peak.
• With the cardboard I drew and cut out the wings and legs.

Estoy muy contenta con los resultados. He visto muchos Búhos y Lechuzas elaboradas de diferentes maneras y con todo tipo de materiales, pero este diseño me encantó. Creo que mi mayor inspiración para este tipo de proyectos es mi nieta. Si a ella le llama la atención a mí también. Vamos a ver si esta lechuza la impacta para buscar las telas y hacerle una más grande para ella.

I'm very happy with the results. I have seen many Owls and Owls made in different ways and with all kinds of materials, but I loved this design. I think my biggest inspiration for this type of project is my granddaughter. If she draws attention to me too. Let's see if this owl hits her to find her fabrics and make a bigger one for her.
