MUÑECO PAÑALERO. EL CATIRE.
Hola 🙋 ¿Cómo les va? Una vez más paso a saludarles y mostrarles mi más reciente creación. Me divertí muchísimo haciendo este proyecto porque es el primero de este tipo que realizo. Hace tiempo compré una tela especial para hacer las muñecas de trapo, no me atrevía a usarla porque es una tela bastante costosa y no quiero hacer mal uso de ella.
Mi interés por hacer muñecos de tela comenzó cuando mi hijo se apareció con aquella muñeca para restaurarla, hace más de un año. El internet no me ayuda para dejarles el link, lo publiqué por aquí en #hive.
DIAPER DOLL. THE CATIRE.
Hello 🙋 How are you doing? Once again I stop by to say hello and show you my latest creation. I had a lot of fun making this project because it's the first of its kind I've made. Some time ago I bought a special fabric to make rag dolls, but I didn't dare to use it because it is quite expensive and I don't want to misuse it.
My interest in making cloth dolls started when my son showed up with that doll to restore it, more than a year ago. The internet doesn't help me to leave you the link, I posted it here in #hive.
Para concretar y hacer el porta pañalero El CATIRE usé un retazo de tela marrón que me quedó de otros proyectos anteriores, hilos de coser, guata, ojos locos, pegamento, aguja de coser, tijeras, moldes, estambre y cierre plástico. Estos materiales los tenía disponibles desde la semana pasada. No se puede desperdiciar ni un retacito de tela, todo es útil. Para la muestra un botón.
To make the El CATIRE diaper holder I used a piece of brown fabric left over from previous projects, sewing threads, wadding, crazy eyes, glue, sewing needle, scissors, dies, yarn and plastic zipper. Me levanté animada por hacer algo diferente y poder usar la tela por primera vez. Había visto un vídeo en el que la maestra explica sobre los tipos de telas que usamos para hacer muñecas. Cuando la compré la chica que me atendió me dijo el nombre, pero lo olvidé. Es elástica y un poco sedosa. No es muy fácil cortarla ni coserla a mano.
I got up excited to do something different and to be able to use the fabric for the first time. I had seen a video in which the teacher explains about the types of fabrics we use to make muelecas. When I bought it the girl who served me told me the name, but I forgot it. It is stretchy and a bit silky. It is not very easy to cut or sew by hand.
Todo lo fui haciendo como me fue saliendo, procurando que las proporciones cabeza, tronco y extremidades quedaran más o menos bien. No sabía si cortar la tela más pequeña que la medida que necesitaba ya que estira. Me dejé llevar por la intuición y me atreví a cortar.
Con esta tela hice la cabeza, los brazos y las piernas del CATIRE. Con la tela marrón realicé el cuerpo donde cosí el cierre.
I did everything as I went along, trying to get the proportions of head, trunk and limbs more or less right. I didn't know whether to cut the fabric smaller than the size I needed since it stretches. I let my intuition guide me and I dared to cut.
With this fabric I made the head, arms and legs of the CATIRE. With the brown fabric I made the body where I sewed the zipper.
También debo aprender a rellenar este tipo de telas. Si pueden apreciar a los brazos y piernas se les nota el algodón empelotado. Quizá porque usé guata y no el propio algodón para rellenar.
Me parece que se ve muy gracioso. Lo hice varón porque he visto muchas muñecas de este tipo. Aproveché de usar el hilo estambre que compré súper barato hace unos días. Le coloqué ojos locos color rosado. Bordé las cejas con hilo marrón y la boca con hilo rojo.
I also need to learn how to stuff this type of fabric. If you can see the arms and legs you can see the cotton stuffing. Maybe because I used wadding and not the cotton stuffing itself.
I think it looks very funny. I made it male because I have seen many dolls of this type. I took advantage of using the worsted yarn I bought super cheap a few days ago. I added crazy pink eyes. I embroidered the eyebrows with brown thread and the mouth with red thread.
Esta semana he tenido muchos deseos de hacer muñecos de tela. No me ha rendido mucho el tiempo, pero espero hacer varios próximamente para calmar la ansiedad que cargo. Ya me acostumbré a realizar un proyecto por día y cuando no puedo ando ansiosa.
Claro que no llevo apuro, sino que se me pasa la inspiración. Me encanta hacer las cosas cuando realmente quiero hacerlas. Aunque siempre quiero hacer manualidades. Eso se sabe de sobra.
This week I have had many desires to make fabric dolls. I haven't had much time, but I hope to make several soon to calm my anxiety. I'm used to making one project a day and when I can't, I get anxious.
Of course, I'm not in a hurry, I just get a little too inspired. I love to do things when I really want to do them. I always want to do crafts, though. That is well known.
Estuve más de tres horas haciendo este guarda pañales. Es pequeño, creo que la práctica estuvo bien. Más adelante haré uno más grande por si alguna madre lo necesita.

I spent over three hours making this diaper keeper. It is small, I think the practice was good. Later on I will make a bigger one in case any mother needs it.
