En especial a esta linda comunidad de needlework, donde nos encontramos a los que nos gusta coser, tejer y hacer cosas lindas. Donde compartimos ese amor por la costura y que así sea con un pedacito de tela podemos crear algo lindo y darle nueva vida, cuando reciclamos algo que ya no usamos o que en este caso solo se encontraba un calcetin o media de la niña cuando estaba pequeña.

Les cuento como se me ocurrió hacer esta linda muñeca de arroz...Mi vecinita de tres años estaba jugando y solo tenia una de las medias, así que le pedí el calcetín para hacerle una muñequita.
I'll tell you how I came up with making this cute rice doll ... My three-year-old neighbor was playing and she only had one of the stockings, so I asked her for the sock to make a little doll for her.
Como no tenia relleno de almohada, decidí hacerlo con arroz, para que al apretarla sintiera la textura y fuera así como una de esas peloticas anti estrés.
As it did not have pillow filling, I decided to make it with rice, so that when I squeezed it I would feel the texture and it would be like one of those anti stress balls.
Ella quedo encantada con su muñeca de arroz y yo feliz de poder hacerles cositas a ella, ya que no tengo cerca a mis nietas para consentirlas..-mi pequeña vecina feliz de que la consienta a ella.
She was delighted with her rice doll and I was happy to be able to do things to her, since I do not have my granddaughters close to pamper them ..- My little neighbor happy that I pamper her.
Para hacer esta linda manualidad les digo que utilice y como la hice:

Materiales:
Un calcetin usado, media taza de granos de arroz, hilo, aguja, tijeras, silicon y un lazo.
Materials:
A used sock, half a cup of rice grains, thread, needle, scissors, silicone and a bow.
Comencé recortando una parte de arriba del calcetil, y empece a rellenarlo con los granos de arroz, y después con la aguja empece a coser para cerrar.
I started by cutting off a part of the top of the sock, and I began to fill it with the grains of rice, and then with the needle I began to sew to close.
Luego tome una parte y enrolle hilo a su alrededor para formar la cabeza, le hice varias vueltas y después cosí un parte a cada lado para formar los brazos. Y para las piernas cosí en el centro hasta la punta del calcetin.
Then I took a part and wrapped thread around it to form the head, I made it several turns and then I sewed a part on each side to form the arms. And for the legs I sewed in the center to the tip of the sock.
Con lo que le había cortado al calcetin, lo cosí por todo el borde y hale el hilo, formando un nudo y quedando así el gorrito para la bebe de arroz.
With what I had cut from the sock, I sewed it around the edge and pulled the thread, forming a knot and thus leaving the hat for the rice baby.
Para hacerle la borla al gorrito, enrolle en mis dos dedos lana y luego la amarre al centro y corte ambas puntas, quedando la bolita de lana para coserla en el centro del gorrito.
To make the tassel for the hat, roll wool around my two fingers and then tie it to the center and cut both ends, leaving the ball of wool to sew in the center of the hat.
Cosí el gorro a la cabeza, después hice los ojos y la boca, cosiendolos con hilo negro.
I sewed the hat to the head, then I made the eyes and the mouth, sewing them with black thread.
Por ultimo pegue un lacito al cuello de la bebe.
Finally stick a bow around the baby's neck.
Y así me quedo esta linda muñeca de arroz, hecha con mucho cariño para mi vecinita a la que quiero como a una nieta...Y que se que mis princesas se pondrán celosas porque su abuelita consiente a otras niñas.
