Life gives us beautiful moments to enjoy and be very happy; one of those moments is when a baby is born in our environment, everything becomes happiness, joy, tenderness. There is no heart in this world that does not melt in the presence of such a cute little cherub, so helpless, who begins to know his environment, his family and what will be his life from now on.
La vida nos regala momentos hermosos para disfrutar y ser muy felices; uno de esos momentos es cuando nace un bebé en nuestro entorno, todo se vuelve felicidad, alegría, ternura. No hay corazón en este mundo que no se derrita ante la presencia de un querubín tan lindo, tan indefenso, que empieza a conocer su entorno, su familia y lo que será su vida de ahora en adelante.

Hoy les vengo a presentar a toda la comunidad de #Needleworkmonday a mi precioso sobrino Adrián Mathías, quien llego a iluminar nuestras vías y desde ya lo nombro modelo oficial de mi blog creativo.
This weekend I had the joy of going to meet him and I tell you that he is a beautiful boy, very well behaved and he is big. He measured 51 centimeters and weighed 3.500 kg, his mother is very well and he is very beautiful after the birth.
Este fin de semana tuve la dicha de ir a conocerlo y les cuento que es un varón precioso, muy bien portado y es grande. Midió 51 centímetros y pesó 3,500 Kg, su mamá está muy bien quedó linda luego del parto.
As I said in the past days, Camila is very young, she is only 17 years old and so is the father of her son. That's why I wanted to bring her several little things that I was making little by little with material that I had saved for a special occasion or better said, for someone special.
Como lo dije en días pasados Camila es muy joven apenas tiene 17 años y el padre de su hijo también. Por eso quise llevarle varias cositas que fui haciendo poco a poco con material que tenía guardado para una ocasión especial o mejor dicho, para alguien especial.
Today I am going to show you some images of the step by step that I followed to make a very simple blanket but made with all my love.
Hoy les voy a mostrar algunas imágenes del paso a paso que seguí para realizar una manta muy sencilla pero hecha con todo mi amor.
Materials I used: 🎈 🎉 Materiales que utilicé:
- Un metro de tela Batista bordada
- 60 centímetros de tela para combinar
- 25 centímetros o un retazo de tela Etamina para bordar
- Sedalinas de colores
- Aguja #22 para bordar en punto de cruz
- guata
-Máquina de coser, aguja e hilos - Encaje o pasa cinta y cinta a combinar
Step by step 🎈 🎉 Paso a paso
The first thing we do is cut out all the patterns and then embroider the name, in my case I placed only the name in very large print since the fabric I chose to match had stumps
Lo primero que hacemos es cortar todos los patrones y luego bordar el nombre, en mi caso coloqué solo el nombre en letra muy grande ya que la tela que escogí para combinar tenía muñecos.
We take the main fabric and iron it by dividing the fabric into three equal parts. We place this fabric on the wadding and secure it with pins or else we can pass a few long stitches with needle and thread so that it does not move when passing the seam on the sewing machine.
Tomamos la tela principal y la planchamos dividendo la tela en tres partes iguales. Ubicamos esta tela sobre la guata y la aseguramos con alfileres o sino podemos pasar unas puntadas largas con aguja e hilo para que no se mueva a la hora de pasar la costura en la máquina de coser.
After passing the straight stitch on the lines that we marked with the iron we proceed to fix the name that we embroidered in cross stitch. We also place the lace or ribbon and further down we place the fabric to match. We fix everything with pins and sew.
Luego de pasar la costura recta sobre las líneas que marcamos con la plancha procedemos a fijar el nombre que bordamos en punto de cruz. También colocamos los encajes o pasa cinta y más abajo colocamos la tela para combinar. Fijamos todo con alfileres y cosemos.
Now it's time to make the ruffles for that we cut strips of 20 centimeters and we are joining them until we get twice the contour of the blanket. Fold in half so that they are approximately 10 centimeters, if you do not like so wide you can reduce it to your liking. We iron and wrinkle and then place on the blanket inside, as shown in the image.
Ahora es el momento de realizar los volantes para eso cortamos tiras de 20 centímetros y las vamos uniendo hasta obtener el doble del contorno de la manta. Doblamos a la mitad para que queden de 10 centímetros aproximadamente, si n te gusta tan ancho lo puedes reducir a tu gusto. Planchamos y arruchamos para luego colocar en la manta hacia adentro, así como se ve en la imagen.
We are finishing, finally we place the lining fabric and pass straight and zigzag stitching around the contour leaving an opening of approximately 20 centimeters to flip
Ya vamos finalizando, por ultimo colocamos la tela de forro y pasamos costura recta y en zigzag por todo el contorno dejando una abertura de 20 centímetros aproximadamente para voltear.

I am happy with the result, at first I was afraid of not combining all the pieces, but inside me I knew that each thing was made of love and that would make it nicer than if I had gone to buy the most expensive fabrics on the market.
Estoy dichosa con el resultado, en un principio tuve miedo de no combinar todas las piezas, pero dentro de mi sabía que cada cosa estaba hecha de amor y eso lo haría más lindo que si hubiese ido a comprar las telas más costosas del mercado.
Adrián has come to inaugurate the third generation of nephews in my family, he is the first great-great-grandson of my mother who is super happy, but has not been able to come to meet him because she is locked up because of the pandemic. I hope soon to be all together to celebrate life and the arrival of my beautiful nephew Adrian, may God bless him.
Adrián ha venido a inaugurar la tercera generación de sobrinos en mi familia, es el primer tataranieto de mi madre quien está súper contenta, pero no ha podido venir a conocerle porque está encerrada por la pandemia. Espero pronto estar todos reunidos para celebrar la vida y la llegada de mi hermoso sobrino Adrián, que Dios me lo bendiga.
