    Hoy me he inspirado en una frase muy bonita que aprendí de mi guía espiritual, "Donde está tu tesoro, allí está tu corazón" en este caso mi tesoro es mi amor depositado en HIVE, el agradecimiento, los recuerdos bonitos, las personas que me han ayudado y con las que he compartido momentos maravillosos desde que comenzamos a trabajar acá. Por cada una de estas cosas es que puedo decir que entonces aquí está mi corazón.

Today I have been inspired by a very beautiful phrase that I learned from my spiritual guide, "Where your treasure is, there is your heart" in this case my treasure is my love deposited in HIVE, the gratitude, the beautiful memories, the people who have helped me and with whom I have shared wonderful moments since we started working here. For each of these things I can say that this is where my heart is.

Today I wanted to give myself a present

    Yo continuo en la labor de hacer cosas para mí y esta vez he realizado una bolsa o funda para proteger mi laptop y a su vez tener algo bonito, que me haga sentir orgullosa de presentar donde quiera que vaya.

    Además quise hacerlo con un motivo o diseño de HIVE, la plataforma que me ha brindado su apoyo en todo este tiempo y por la cual tengo y siento un profundo agradecimiento por que me ha rondado muchas satisfacciones tanto para mí como para mi familia.

I continue to make things for myself and this time I have made a bag or sleeve to protect my laptop and at the same time have something nice, that makes me feel proud to present it wherever I go.

I also wanted to do it with a motif or design of HIVE, the platform that has supported me all this time and for which I have and I feel a deep gratitude because it has given me many satisfactions for me and my family.

Materiales que utilicé 📍 📌 ✂️ Materials that I used

    Esta funda realmente fue hecha con retazos de tela que me habían regalado hace tiempo y que tenía guardados para hacer algo especial, así que no te preocupes mucho por comprar materiales costosos o si prefieres También la puedes hacer con jean reciclados que estoy segura te va aquedar hermosa.
Además vamos a utilizar un retazo de guata, cinta o liga y tela de forro.

    En este caso hice una decoración con punto de cruz en homenaje a Hive, para eso utilicé sedalinas de diferentes colores, tela Etamina y un patrón de dibujo y letras.

This cover was actually made from scraps of fabric that I had been given a long time ago and had saved to make something special, so don't worry too much about buying expensive materials or if you prefer you can also make it from recycled jeans which I'm sure will look beautiful.

We will also use a piece of wadding, ribbon or ribbon and lining fabric.

In this case I made a cross stitch decoration in homage to Hive, for that I used different coloured fishing lines, Etamina fabric and a pattern of drawing and letters.

Paso a paso 🐝🐝 Step by step

    Para realizar esta funda debemos cortar primero cada pieza según el tamaño de nuestra laptop y dejamos 2 centímetros de costura a cada lado, todo depende de cómo quieras combinar tu funda, luego cortamos un trozo de tela etamina y bordamos lo que mejor nos guste.

    Mi tela etamina mide 20 x 10 centímetros, así que sobre este espacio debemos calcular el tamaño del dibujo y el tamaño de la letra, centramos todo, contamos cada cuadro tanto en el patrón como en la tela y comenzamos a bordar.

    Ahora vamos a coser el bordado sobre la tela principal, le colocamos el encaje y pasamos costura recta.

    Luego unimos la pieza principal con la pieza trasera, planchamos y en base a este tamaño vamos a cortar la tela de forro y la guata.

To make this cover we must first cut each piece according to the size of our laptop and leave 2 centimetres of seam on each side, it all depends on how you want to combine your cover, then we cut a piece of fabric
etamine fabric and embroider what we like best.

My etamine fabric measures 20 x 10 centimetres, so on this space we have to calculate the size of the drawing and the size of the lettering, we centre everything, count each square both on the pattern and on the fabric and start embroidering.

Now we are going to sew the embroidery on the main fabric, we place the lace on it and sew a straight seam.

Then we join the main piece with the back piece, iron and based on this size we are going to cut the lining fabric and the wadding.

    Ahora vamos a colocar la guata, para eso debemos bastear con puntadas largas de aguja e hilo o fijar con alfileres la tela principal a la guata para que no se mueva al momento de coser, pasamos costura recta entre las líneas horizontales y todo el contorno.

Now we are going to place the wadding, for that we must baste with long needle and thread stitches or pin the main fabric to the wadding so that it does not move when sewing, we pass straight stitching between the horizontal lines and all the contour.

    Vamos a enfrentar derecho con derecho la tela principal y la tela de forro, en este momento aprovechamos de colocar la cinta o liga con la que vamos a sujetar o cerrar nuestra funda, pasamos costura recta en las orillas superior e inferior.

We are going to face right sides together the main fabric and the lining fabric, at this moment we take the opportunity to place the ribbon or garter with which we are going to fasten or close our cover, we pass straight stitching on the top and bottom edges.

    Ahora presta mucha atención a este paso ya que vamos a formar la funda, es decir, vamos a crear como una bolsa, para eso vamos a estirar el forro hacia un lado y la tela principal hacia el otro, fijamos con alfileres justo en la mitad para que quede perfecto, así como se ve en la imagen.

    Pasamos costura por todo el entorno y dejamos una abertura de 20 centímetro en la parte del forro aproximadamente para voltear el trabajo.

Now pay close attention to this step because we are going to form the cover, that is, we are going to create a bag, for that we are going to stretch the lining to one side and the main fabric to the other, we fix with pins right in the middle so that it is perfect, as shown in the image.

Sew all around and leave an opening of about 20 centimetres on the lining side to turn the work over.

    Al voltear nos quedará así como está ésta imagen, solo nos queda cerrar la abertura con puntada escondida y metemos la tela de forro hacia adentro, por último pasamos una costura recta por toda la orilla superior de nuestra funda y listo.

When we turn it over it will look like this image, we just have to close the opening with a hidden stitch and we put the lining fabric inside, finally we sew a straight seam all along the top edge of our cover and that's it.

    Como ven ahora tengo mi funda hermosa y lo mejor es que esta personalizada. Estoy segura que más de una persona me va a preguntar que es HIVE y gustosamente le explicaré que HIVE es mi casa, mi familia, mi segundo hogar.
