Hello hiveians

Thank God for another day, a beautiful morning to all the needleworkers from this end.

Today, I will be sharing with you the making of this pleated gown with puffy sleeves and turtle neck using 4 yards of Ankara fabric.

My client who brought this fabric is as an elderly woman in her late 60s she wanted me to make a simple gown for her and I came up with this.

The making was so easy as I folded the fabric in two to cut out the lower part using 3× the waist measurement for the pleating to be full.

The upper bodice was cut out with the necessary measurements and a waist dart was inserted for a lovely shape and fitting.

After the cutting, I took all the pieces to the sewing machine for proper sewing and the sleeves were cut out using the left over fabric alongside the turtle neck.

Without wasting much time, this is the final result of my work. In order not to leave the dress plain, I added a little design of pleating from the center front to the waist line.

I hope someone love the outcome of this dress.

Thanks so much for viewing my post and do have a great day.
