Needle Monday, Monday of blessings.

Ha pasado un poco menos de un mes desde mi última publicación, la realidad había estado con muchas cosas por hacer y ya al final del día terminaba más que agotada. Muchos alegan que es mi edad, "ya no estoy en los ritmos juveniles", pero me gusta mantenerme ocupada y gracias a Dios las ventas por encargo han sido estables. Además de todo, he podido tener tiempo para tejer, que es algo que me relaja bastante y a la vez me ayuda a fomentar pensamientos muy agradables. Transformar hilos en piezas lindas, es una proeza, no soy la más diestra, pero pongo empeño en ello.

It's been a little less than a month since my last post, the reality is that I had a lot of things to do and at the end of the day I was more than exhausted. Many people claim that it's my age, "I'm not in the rhythm of youth anymore", but I like to keep myself busy and thank God the sales on request have been stable. In addition to everything, I have been able to have time to knit, which is something that relaxes me quite a bit and at the same time helps me foster very pleasant thoughts. Transforming threads into beautiful pieces is a feat, I'm not the most skilled, but I put effort into it.

Para esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes el proceso fotográfico de como he elaborado una rosa. Próximamente se celebrará el 21 de Septiembre, y a motivo de ello, una joven me ha solicitado elaborarle una rosa amarilla. Será un obsequio especial para una amiga de ella, como un presente para manifestarle que la aprecia y le desea cosas felices. La rosa, la he envuelto con papel Kraft, le colocamos una tarjeta personalizada y la etiqueta de un pequeño negocio de tejidos que llevo con mi vecina. ¡Si, un emprendimiento de tejidos!. Mi vecina es la que se encarga de la mayor parte de cosas, como diseño de papelería, colores y materiales. Para las piezas y contenido de Instagram, si reservo tiempo y planifico las actividades, puesto que mi mayor tiempo es dedicado a KoKo.

For this occasion I want to share with you the photographic process of how I made a rose. September 21st is coming up soon, and for this reason, a young woman has asked me to make her a yellow rose. It will be a special gift for a friend of hers, as a present to show her that she appreciates her and wishes her happy things. I have wrapped the rose in Kraft paper, we put a personalized card on it and the label of a small textile business that I run with my neighbor. Yes, a textile business! My neighbor is the one who takes care of most things, such as stationery design, colors and materials. For the pieces and Instagram content, I do reserve time and plan the activities, since most of my time is dedicated to KoKo.

Encargos de Rosas hemos tenido varios, pero esta es la primera en color Amarillo. Generalmente las personas optan por colores como rojo y rosado, pero esta será nuestra primera temporada de "Flores Amarillas". Mi amiga esta muy contenta, ha pensado tantas cosas y se encuentra muy animada. Dios mediante estos días serán muy movidos, Amén.

We have had several orders for Roses, but this is the first in Yellow. Usually people opt for colors like red and pink, but this will be our first season of "Yellow Flowers". My friend is very happy, she has thought of so many things and is very excited. God willing, these days will be very busy, Amen.

La rosa se encuentra formada en una sola pieza que finalmente se enrolla para darle el volumen característico de estas flores. Uno de los detalles a tener en cuenta, es que cuando se enrolle, deba ser siempre tomando como referencia la hilera de puntos base, así la estructura final y deseada no se perderá. La verdad, hace muchos años intenté hacer una rosa, pero en ese entonces indagaba en pétalos separados, más sin embargo de esta manera actual me parece de mejor resistencia y más sencillo. Otro detalle que nos encanta, es que la parte baja de la flor, no se como se llama, se encuentra creada como si fuese una linda estrella acoplada a la rosa.

The rose is made in one piece that is finally rolled up to give it the volume characteristic of these flowers. One of the details to keep in mind is that when rolling it up, it should always be done using the row of base stitches as a reference, so the final and desired structure will not be lost. The truth is, many years ago I tried to make a rose, but at that time I was looking into separate petals, but this current way seems to me to be more resistant and simpler. Another detail that we love is that the lower part of the flower, I don't know what it's called, is created as if it were a beautiful star attached to the rose.

La composición de la rosa inicia con cadenetas, luego un punto bajo sobre cada cadeneta, en la otra vuelta formamos puras "V" y después los abanicos que ofrecerán ese toque copioso característico de esta flor. Se enrolla sobre si misma, al mismo tiempo que vamos fijando con silicon sobre el palillo de altura. Después, acoplamos la base, que hemos tejido aparte, basándose en 18 puntos bajos, para formar posteriormente grupos de 4,3,2 en uno sobre otro para dar esa forma linda de estrella. Fijamos la base con la parte superior. Después solo restaría cubrir el palillo, que simula ser el tallo.

The composition of the rose starts with chain stitches, then a single crochet on each chain stitch, in the other row we form pure "V" shapes and then the fans that will offer that characteristic copious touch of this flower. It is rolled up on itself, at the same time that we fix it with silicone on the tall stick. Then, we attach the base, which we have woven separately, based on 18 single crochets, to later form groups of 4,3,2 on top of each other to give that beautiful star shape. We fix the base with the upper part. Then we only have to cover the stick, which simulates being the stem.
