DIY How I Crocheted a Slipper for a Customer Who Double Ordered

Today being Monday, work has not really been easy for crocheting slippers as demand from customers increased significantly but I do have to consider my health also because am really stressed and need some rest.

Not minding much work for me from my shoemaking office, a customer who placed a demand for a particular brand of crocheted slippers since last week Friday came this morning to collect the slippers but refused to collect the one she demanded saying that she has changed her mind from the previous one she needed.

I told the customer that the slipper she demanded last week is already ready and by the way, had it been she know that she will not be collecting the one she requested for again. At least she should have notified me through a phone call but the only thing she told me was that the sipper she requested that I should crochet for her last week was meant for her and her money weekly contribution association to be worn for one of her member’s traditional marriage.

She also said that her association needs to be in uniform for one of her member's traditional marriages that was why she never told me about her plan for another crocheted slipper was that her other members of the association just changed the plan early this morning and she will need me to work a new style for her.

My anger was not that she was demanding another crocheted slipper but I have a lot of work at the office to handle. After I broke into an argument with her, she pleaded with me that she will collect the crocheted slipper she demanded last week but she really need me to do another one for her because the traditional marriage is this evening.

I was confused and never knew what to do because I was also stressed for the day. In the end, I accepted her new demand for the slipper to be crocheted for her because of the pressure of her making use of the slipper today. I increased the price of the slipper and then push some of them to my other teams to handle to enable me to meet the target.

I was happy that in the end not more than 3hrs from her demand that I was able to finish with the crocheted slipper on time as agreed with her.

Considering the materials used to make the slipper:

Sole is what I used to join with the crocheted leather to get the full slipper. The sole serves as a guild to the crocheted slipper because it is always fixed at the bottom of the slipper to help protect it from quick damage.

Leather material was used to be crocheted with yarn to determine the top look of the slipper.

Some of the tools used for the making of the slipper are as follows:

Yarn pin.

Sandpaper.

Scissors.

Lighter.

Gum.

Hammer.

Procedures used in the making of the slippers include:

I provided the whole materials to be used to make the crocheted slipper.

I determine the size, color, and type of slipper.

I measured out the leather to be used for the slipper.

I made a slight drawing of the slipper on the leather.

I have to cut out the leather been measured.

I have to open the leather round for easy crocheting.

I crocheted the top slipper with yarn and leather.

I have to sandpaper the sole and leather appropriately.

I have to apply some gum to the sole and leather been crocheted.

I have to place the sole and leather under the sun for quick drying.

I have to fix the whole crocheted slipper together and then hit it slightly with a hammer.
