Hello friends! How are you? I was encouraged to participate in this contest promoted by OCD to support the communities. It is the first time that I participate and I am very motivated by the idea because for a long time I have wanted to make my own cosmetic case and it seemed to me the opportunity to do it and give support to this community of needles.
Since we were little, my mother taught my sister and I that we have to learn the basics of a house, so that the day she is not with us we can defend ourselves in life. Among those teachings is sewing, although she is not an expert in the field, she knows the essentials, mending a seam, grabbing a hem to a pants, basting, among other things. What little she knows she taught us, although if I'm honest, sewing is not my thing, but I will try to do my best to carry out this little project with a lot of love, for you and for me.
I have always liked makeup and since I started to earn income, a part of it I invest in makeup, in fact my blog is dedicated much to it. When I got the idea for the cosmetic holder it was because I was going to spend a few days at a friend's house and I couldn't take my toiletry bag with my makeup and I had to place it loose in my handbag, it was a disaster because the paintings were opened and it stained my clothes. So this is where my project came from, which I will describe below.

Hola amixes! ¿Qué tal están? Me animé a participar en este concurso promovido por OCD para apoyar a las comunidades. Es la primera vez que participo y me motiva mucho la idea porque desde hace tiempo he querido hacer mi propio porta cosméticos y me pareció propicia la ocasión para hacerlo y darle apoyo a esta comunidad de las agujas.
Desde pequeñas, mi madre nos enseñó a mi hermana y a mí que tenemos que aprender lo básico de una casa, para que el día que ella no esté con nosotras podamos defendernos en la vida. Entre esas enseñanzas está coser, aunque ella no es experta en el ramo sabe lo esencial, remendar una costura, agarrar un ruedo a un pantalón, bastear, entre otras cosas. Lo poco que ella sabe nos los enseñó, aunque si les soy sincera, coser no es lo mío, pero voy a tratar de dar lo mejor de mí para realizar este pequeño proyecto con mucho cariño, para ustedes y para mí.
Siempre me ha gustado el maquillaje y desde que empecé a obtener ingresos una parte de ellos lo invierto en maquillaje, de hecho mi blog está dedicado gran parte a él. Cuando me vino la idea del porta cosmético fue porque iba a pasar unos días en casa de una amiga y no podía llevarme mis neceser con el maquillaje y tuve que colocarlo suelto en mi bolso de mano, fue un desastre porque las pinturas se abrieron y se me manchó la ropa. Así que de aquí surgió mi proyecto que a continuación describiré.

The first thing I did was look for the materials. I used scraps of fabrics my mom has:

- Scissor
- Paper to make the pattern
- Needle and thread

- With the help of the internet and the guidance of my mother, I made the pattern.
- On a sheet of paper I marked a 33 cm by 21 cm square.
- And then I made the crop marks as I show in the pictures.

- When I finished the pattern, what I did was mark it on the piece of fabric I chose and on the jeans boot.

- I enhanced the needle with unbound thread at the end.

- After basting, I removed the needles and began to sew the entire edge without finishing the stitching at the end to turn it over to the right side.

- And that's how I made my cosmetic bag, I will no longer fear having an accident when traveling.

- Después medí dónde iba a colocar el cierre mágico y los marqué con una aguja para luego coserlos.
