I send you a warm greeting and I hope you are having a good weekend. I am thrilled with the good receptivity I have had in the community in general and how every day my work is better valued, I see in each publication little by little more comments, that means that every day I am improving in my publications. I am grateful for the support of the large groups of curators and individual curators.

Les mando un grato saludo y que estén teniendo un buen fin de semana. Estoy emocinado de la buena receptividad que he tenido en la comunidad en general y de como cada día se valora mejor mi trabajo, veo en cada publicacion de a poco a más comentarios, eso quiere decir que cada día estoy mejorando en mis publicaciones. Agradecido estoy por el apoyo de los grupos grandes de curadores y los curadores individuales.
Desde un tiempo he tenido con mis amigos la ganas e iniciativa de salir y conocer nuevos lugares en la localidad en que vivimos, tanto así que planeamos y fuimos a un lugar en la montaña bastante distante de la civilizacion llamado El junquito.
Well, my two friends and I planned the itineraries. We live in the center of the city of La Guaira-Venezuela and the place we wanted to go was approximately 48 kilometers away so we had to be well prepared for this adventure. From the beginning we had agreed to stay only one day and in a tent.
Pues planeamos mis dos amigos y yo los intinerarios. Vivimos en el centro de la ciudad de La Guaira-Venezuela y el lugar que queriamos ir quedaba a un aproximado de 48 kilomentros de distancia lo cual teniamos que ir bien preparados para esa aventura. Desde el principio habiamos acordado para quedarnos un solo un día y en una carpa.
The area is characterized by temperatures between 10°C and 20°C most of the year due to the altitude of the terrain and the mountainous formations. It is worth mentioning that El Junquito is located at 1750 meters above sea level.
El area se caracteriza por tener temperaturas entre los 10°C y 20°C la mayor parte del año debido a la altura del terreno y las formaciones montañosas. Cabe destacar que El Junquito se encuentra a 1750 metros sobre el nivel del mar.
As I mentioned before, we took what we needed to spend one night in this great adventure. We had enough food to cover lunch, dinner and breakfast for the return day, we could not lack drinking water, we took a first aid kit because it is a mountain and there is a high probability of having an accident. In the backpacks we had (pork, sausage, bread, butter, corn flour, knife, flashlights, cell phones, portable chargers, drinking water and tents).
Como les comente anteriormente llevamos lo necesario para pasar una noche en esa gran aventura. Teniamos comida necesario para cubrir almuerzo, cena y desayuno para el día de regreso, tampoco nos podia faltar el agua potable, llevamos un botiquin de primeros auxilios ya que es una montaña y hay muchas probabilidades de tener algún accidente. En los morrales teniamos (cerdo, chorizo, pan, mantequilla, harina de maiz, cuchillo, linternas, celulares, cargadores portatiles, agua potable y carpa).
We woke up on a Thursday morning at 5am. We went to the terminal to take the transport to the place already mentioned and I can say that it was a tedious journey because they would not let people go that far without a safe conduit due to quarantine restrictions. All this caused us a lot of inconvenience, so much so that we arrived at the place about 6 hours later.
Nos levantamos un jueves por la mañana a la 5am. Nos dirigimos al terminal para agarra el transporte hacia el lugar ya antes mencionado y puedo decir que fue un trayecto tedioso porque no dejaban ir tan lejos a las personas sin salvo conducto debido a las restricciones de la cuarentena. Todo esto nos genero mucho contratiempo, tanto así que llegamos al lugar unas 6 horas despues.
At first we were impressed by the spectacular views and without thinking too much about it we started taking pictures as we approached the site on foot. When we arrived at the land of one of my friends where we were going to stay for the night, there was a house made of adobe (mud) and the perfect place to set up the tent.
Al principio nos impactó las vistas tan espectaculares y sin pensarlo tanto nos pusimos a tomar fotos mientras nos acercabamos al sitio caminando. Al llegar al terreno de uno de mis amigos donde nos ibamos a quedar la noche, habia una casa hecha de adobe (barro) y el lugar perfecto para instalar la carpa.
It was 2pm and we set up the tent and began to collect firewood for cooking and to counteract the cold of the night. After eating and having the necessary firewood, we decided to explore the mountain we were on and take more pictures. It was incredible how much fresh air you could breathe that day in that environment and without wearing a mask.
Eran las 2pm e instalamos la carpa y nos pusimos a recolectar leña para cocinar y contrarrestar el frío de la noche. Luego de comer y tener la leña necesaria, se nos ocurrio un recorrido exploratorio en la montaña que nos encontrabamos y de tomar más fotos. Eran increible el aire puro que se podía respirar aquel día en ese ambiente y sin usar tapabocas.
At nightfall we had everything prepared, it should be noted that we did not have much experience in making a campfire and maintain it, therefore this adventure served as new learning how to spend a night outdoors and away from civilization, it is curious because the smoke irritated our eyes producing ocular dryness due to lack of knowledge. But that prevented us from enjoying the night and starry sky because there was zero light pollution and the stars reflected magnificently.
Al caer la noche teniamos todo preparado, cabe descatar que no teniamos mucha experiencia en hacer una fogata y mantenerla, por ende esta aventura nos sirvio de nuevos aprendizaje en como pasar una noche al aire libre y lejos de la civilizacion, es curioso porque el humo nos irrito los ojos produciendo sequedad ocular por la falta de conocimiento. Pero eso no nos impidió de disfrutar de la noche y cielo estrellado debido a que habia cero contaminacion luminica y las estrellas se reflejaban magnificamente.
We woke up very early to see the sunrise and believe me it was quite beautiful. We had breakfast and picked up everything to start the journey back home, which was undoubtedly one of the worst parts of the adventure because we wanted to stay longer but due to lack of food it was not possible.
Nos despertamos bien temprano para ver el amanecer y creanme que fue algo bastante hermoso. Desayunamos y recogimos todo para emprender la travesia del regresar a casa, que sin duda fue unas de las peores partes de la aventura porque queriamos quedarnos más tiempo pero por falta de comida no era posible.
To finish this story, I recommend and invite you to go out and explore the places you've wanted to go but you can't make up your mind because of excuses you make for yourself, believe me it can be one of the best experiences you've ever had.
Para finalizar esta historia, te recomiendo e invito a que salgas a conocer y a explorar los lugares que tanto has querido ir pero no terminas de decidirte por excusas que te pones tú mismo/a, creeme que puede ser una de las mejores experiencias que hayas tenido.

Somehow I have been getting more affection and enthusiasm for the excursions I do with my friends, soon we will do more.
