Hoy os presento el corazón de la amapola.
These poppies are not from the country but from the city.
Now they have become fashionable or we just miss the countryside when they are born wild and free.
Estas amapolas no son de campo sino de ciudad.
Ahora se han puesto de moda o simplemente echamos de menos el campo cuando nacen salvajes y libres.
The center of my city has been dressed in red, with those delicate leaves that open to the sun and reveal its heart.
El centro de mi ciudad se ha vestido de rojo, con esas hojas delicadas que se abren al sol y dejan ver su corazón.
When the flower is not yet open it almost looks like a pod of some extraterrestrial animal covered with hair and little by little it opens and the pod remains stuck to the flower for a few days, as if it were a worm full of hair crawling up the petal.
Cuando la flor todavía no está abierta casi parece una vaina de algún animal extraterrestre cubierta de vello y poco a poco se abre y la vaina queda pegada pon unos días a la flor, como si fuera un gusano lleno de pelo trepando por el pétalo.

Also the wild ones are smaller and more compact.
