Gifted by nature with the spectacular Son Tra Peninsula to the east and gorgeous Hai Van mountain in the north, Da Nang city, is one of the most attractive tourist destinations in the country. It's a great place for those who love to travel and explore. There are also many ideal places to camp overnight. In one of my previous post, I mentioned that the Hai Van pass is well-known as one of the most dangerous in Vietnam. Hai Van is famous for its stunning landscape surrounding. However, not many people know about some of the wonderful locations for camping. 🙂
Traveling combined with overnight camping is a fascinating experience that many young travelers love to do nowadays. You can watch the city shimmering in the night, immerse yourself in nature and enjoy the fresh air. Since Hai Van is a barrier separating the climate between two different weather patterns in the North and the South, it will get cold in the evening night. Make sure to bring a jacket if you camp here :))
It took us about 30 mins to drive from Da Nang center to the foot of Hai Van pass. We parked our motorbikes at a coffee shop on the main road and then did a small hike to the Pine Tree Forest. My friend set up all of the tents before we reached, and then we gathered firewood for cooking. We had a great dinner cooked over a campfire, wonderful conversation free from distraction, and the sounds of the surrounding nature. 🤩 Unforgettable night !!
Early the next day, we went for a hike up to the hill. It was a really struggle to get up at 4 am, but was well worth catching the beautiful sunrise. Catching those the first rays of the morning sun made us feel refreshed and energetic.
I can't express how blessed I feel when viewing the gorgeous scenery and, yes the beauty of nature. Joy, Happiness, and Peace !!! I always feel happier every time I'm in the natural world.
I love camping and hiking. It helps me to keep in touch with nature, reduce pressure, and the air so fresh. Now we are asked to stay indoors due to the virus outbreak; I just reckon that how much I'm missing outing in nature. I'm so glad that I went out a lot before the restriction 😃 , so I have many stories to share now 😆. I hope everything will better soon, and that we can all resume our normal activities.
