Hello to all Hive users, the following video that you will see below is about my last expedition to the Cueva del Indio Recreational Park.

Está ubicada en el municipio El Hatillo, estado Miranda. Es un morro de considerable tamaño formado de rocas calizas, que permite la formación de cuevas naturales.

It is located in the municipality of El Hatillo, Miranda state. It is a hill of considerable size formed of limestone rocks, which allows the formation of natural caves.

Atractivos

Según nos contó el guía cuenta con más de 22 cuevas, pero sólo tres de ellas son de acceso turísticos, además de ser la de mayor envergadura. Entre ellas están el Pio, el indio y el Verraco.

El área del parque también se puede usar como picnic, hacer fiestas infantiles, y como no, practicar escalada o rapel.

The area of the park can also be used for picnics, children's parties, and of course, climbing and rappelling.

Cueva el Pio

Hablaré netamente de esta cueva, porque fue la única que había acceso. Del resto por falta de mano de obra el camino está inaccesible hasta nuevo aviso.

La cueva del Pio es la más grande del parque. Como mayor atractivo están sus pasadizos y las figuras creadas a partir de la caída del agua sobre la roca. Tiene 200 metros de longitud y 11,5 metros de profundidad.

El Pio Cave is the largest cave in the park. Its main attraction is its passageways and the figures created by the water falling on the rock. It is 200 meters long and 11.5 meters deep.
From the entrance to the entrance of the cave is about 10 minutes walk. Once inside you can spend up to an hour exploring the cave.

Consejos

Si van por primera vez al parque es imperativo ir acompañado de un guía. Nosotros fuimos con uno, y créanme es mucho mejor tenerlo, perderse en la cueva es fácil. Además, así podrán explorar a mayor cabalidad el lugar.

If you are visiting the park for the first time, it is imperative to be accompanied by a guide. We went with one, and believe me it is much better to have one, getting lost in the cave is easy. Besides, this way you will be able to explore the place more fully.

En cuanto a las vestimentas vayan con ropa que puedan ensuciar, preferible ropa de campaña. Llevar linternas y agua para tomar es vital también.

As for clothing, go in clothes that can get dirty, preferably camping clothes. Bring flashlights and water to drink is also vital.

Cómo llegar

Llegar es bien sencillo, no hay pérdida. Tomas los autobuses en el terminal de Rio Tuy o Chacaíto con rumbo al Cafetal. Una vez en camino se quedan en Plazas las Américas, la última parada. De ahí caminan hasta la Guairita, hasta la entrada que diga bienvenidos a Baruta o El Hatillo.

Getting there is very easy, you can't get lost. Take the bus from the Rio Tuy or Chacaíto bus terminal to El Cafetal. Once on the way you stay at Plazas las Americas, the last stop. From there you walk to La Guairita, to the entrance that says welcome to Baruta or El Hatillo.

El parque queda como a unos 15 minutos desde el C.C. Cualquier cosa consultan Google Maps o preguntas como llegar.

Experiencias

Realmente me gusto la experiencia. No fue lo que esperaba. Lo vivido fue como adentrarme al centro de la tierra, estando ahí haciendo la actividad pensaba era en el libro de Julio Verne, Viaje al centro de la tierra.

I liked the experience. It was not what I expected. The experience was like going into the center of the earth, being there doing the activity I thought it was in the book by Jules Verne, Journey to the center of the earth.

Todo era tenebroso, pero lleno de ese sentimiento de aventura que tanto me gusta. Fue algo nuevo y vigorizante.

Everything was scary but full of that feeling of adventure that I like so much. It was something new and invigorating.

Lo que sí deseo es repetirlo, pero más tiempo. Siento que fue muy apresurado para mi gusto.

What I do wish is to repeat it, but longer. I feel it was too rushed for my taste.
