This time of year the sun sits very low in the sky, not reaching over the tall tree tops that line the horizon.
I love gazing at the sun through the trees and looking at the beautiful images the sunbeams create.
Here are some scenes from our morning walk with the first glimpse of the sun at the head of our lane highlighting the trees lining the pasture.

With scenes like this I love playing with my creative feature on my camera for it can make for some real interesting photos as you can see in the image below that was of the same scene as above but with the creative filter applied -

As we walked further up the road to the frozen pond the sun was just peeping through the trees.

When we went down the treed trail up to the hill top we were delighted with the frosty scene that lay before us of the sun playing on a distant hilltop.

It was beautiful to see the frost blanketing the tree lined hill with the morning sunlight highlighting it.

It was strikingly beautiful on the hill top but the temperatures were pretty cold so we took one last shot and headed for home.
