The sky foretells!

A weather warning was delivered by the sky this morning.

In all honesty, I have never seen these colors before on the mountains. It means that something extraordinary was going to happen today.

The weather has warned about a severe cold front landing later today, bringing with it much rain and snow.
But you can see here that the sky knew that and in future when I see these lovely colors, I will know what to expect.
I am now taking photos of the processes developing in the sky throughout the day and will show you the arrival of the coldfront in another post.

A pinkish, orange shine covered the mountain peaks.

Here is a wider view of the photo above and that looked like a sunray exploding at its landing against the mountain.

This was the start of the colored clouds and the spot where the sun will creep up into the sky from its lair behind the mountain rim.

The colors waned as the sun rose and the clouds changed into a soft cotton wool appearance.

Finally I leave you with this last shot that I took of the early mountains.

It is stated that by Thursday evening we will be at 1C, so this three day process of worsening conditions will deliver some beautiful photo opportunities. But there is a sad side to this, as our electricity department has warned of a new round of blackouts (loadshedding) expected this week and this means that no electrical heaters will comfort people against the cold.

All of this adds to the serious looting events that occured last week and our nation is placed under a heap of strenuous situations. Suffering is dire here, especially for the poorest of the poor and we pray for the healing of this country and all of its peoples.
Such is life.

And That's All Friends.
