I had to be careful taking these photos!
With the coolness of fall upon us, the snakes are on the move, including the venomous ones. Around our place, it's the North American Pit Vipers like Copperheads, Cottonmouths, and Rattlesnakes. So far, we've only been seeing the Copperheads, which blend in incredibly with their environment. They aren't "aggressive" but rather "defensive" and if they feel threatened, they'll strike. Unfortunately, many people don't see them and then step next to them, or on them, and the snake defends itself by biting. Thankfully, we've never been bit by one yet. Enjoy the photos!
