Small Gifts of Nature - my entry to Amazing Nature Contest, November 2020 - #02

Nature sometimes offers us amazing gifts and it depends on us if to except them or not.

What can you see on the white spot of this stone? For me, it is a little horse drinking water from a stream, but my son says it is a donkey grazing in the meadow.

One of my friends, when I sent her the picture of this stone, asked me if I bought it from a souvenir shop. But no, it was my own finding!

I got this gift of nature two years ago while I was swimming in the Mediterranean sea. It was my holiday which I was spending on the island of Rhodes.

Some people may say that a woman in "good age" wandering along the sea shore in search of pretty stones lookes strange (if to call it in polite way😀). It is fun for me to try to see something unusual in ordinary things and I usually try not to care about what other people think in this case. In the result my luggage is always very heavy.

I had a good collection of colourful items found in the Black Sea. When I started spending my summer holidays in Spain, Greece and Cyprus, I added some new exhibits from the Mediterranean Sea into my collection. I am always especially happy when I find a stone with some pattern on it.

Unfortunately, a flat is not the best place for a stone collection, and I gave nearly all of it to my friends and their children to decorate their home aquariums with fish.

One more stone "with a pattern" is on the pictures below. I hope that I am not the only one who can see number 5 on it 😀.

And another one with number 2 on it, not as clear as 5 on the previous stone but still can be recognized.

I also had some stones with different letters on them but gave them to the children of my class. I have left only one round stone with letter "L" on it which you can see below.

Or is it nimber 7?

I also like my white nearly round stones from Greece. They are so pleasant to touch! One of my friends calls my "playing" with pretty stones as "stone therapy" and I think - why not? 😀 😀 😀
