Hola amigos, un saludo para todos ustedes. Hoy quiero mostrarles una cosita muy tierna que vi en estos días. Un vecino trajo una mascotita a su hogar y me enamore con solo verlo. Era ese hermoso conejito que vieron en la portada de esta publicación. Aproveche de sacarle algunas fotos para compartirlas con ustedes. En el transcurso de la publicación se las mostrare.

Hello friends, a greeting to all of you. Today I want to show you a little something very tender that I saw these days. A neighbor brought a pet into his home and I fell in love just by looking at it. It was that beautiful little bunny you saw on the cover of this publication. I took some pictures of him to share with you. I will show them to you during the course of the publication.

Los conejos son una especie de mamíferos generalmente pequeña. Son unos animales muy tiernos y peludos, como si fuesen una motita de algodón. Sus lindas orejas y la manera en que se desplazan de un lugar a otro sin duda alguna es una de las razones por la que quisiéramos tener uno en casa. Cuando se tiene de mascota suele ser unos animales fáciles de mantener pero muy delicaditos de salud.

Rabbits are a generally small mammal species. They are very tender and hairy animals, as if they were a cotton mote. Their beautiful ears and the way they move from one place to another is undoubtedly one of the reasons why we would like to have one in our home. When you have them as a pet they are usually easy to maintain but very delicate in terms of health.

Voy a aprovechar esta publicación para hablar sobre algunos detalles importantes de este conejito, así conocerás sobre su raza, cuidados, alimentación y otras cosas interesantes. Junto con mi vecina decidimos ponerle el nombre “Nube Gris”, y nos pareció apropiado, ya que su pelaje es muy suavecito y su color de verdad que es hermoso.

I am going to take advantage of this publication to talk about some important details of this bunny, so you will know about its breed, care, feeding and other interesting things. Together with my neighbor we decided to name it "Grey Cloud", and we thought it was appropriate, since its coat is very soft and its color really beautiful.

El conejo azul de Viena es por lo general de tamaño mediano y su peso varía entre 3,5 y 5,5 Kg. Su pelaje es denso, suave, sedoso y brillante. Es de un color azul pizarra intenso que aclara hasta un gris más pálido y sus ojos son color azul-gris oscuros.

The Vienna blue rabbit is generally of medium size and its weight varies between 3.5 and 5.5 kg. Its coat is dense, soft, silky and shiny. It has an intense slate blue color which lightens to a paler gray and its eyes are dark blue-grey.

🐰 Origen e historia / Origin and history

Es originario de Austria. En el siglo XIX se cruzaron gigantes azules y belgas, y como resultado se consiguió un animal de tamaño mediano con un precioso pelo azulado puro.

He is originally from Austria. In the 19th century blue giants and Belgians were crossed, and as a result a medium sized animal with beautiful pure blue hair was obtained.

El Viena es un animal dócil y simpático que disfruta de las caricias, así como de explorar su hogar cada vez que tenga oportunidad. Por eso, es muy importante que viva en una vivienda segura.

The Vienna is a docile and friendly animal that enjoys caresses, as well as exploring its home every chance it gets. Therefore, it is very important that you live in a safe home.

🐰 Cuidados / Care

Lo puedes mantener protegido o resguardado en una jaula mediana, pero cuanto más grande sea mejor ya que así tendrá más espacio para poder correr. La higiene debe ser muy importarte, así que lo mejor es limpiar su área regularmente, ya que no es bueno para su salud estar siempre en contacto con heces y orines.

You can keep it protected or sheltered in a medium sized cage, but the bigger it is the better as it will have more room to run. Hygiene should be very important to you, so it is best to clean your area regularly, as it is not good for your health to always be in contact with feces and urine.

Como es un animal herbívoro, es importante darle heno mezclado con verduras frescas. También se le puede dar fruta fresca dos veces por semana.

Si sientes que algo va mal con tu mascota te recomiendo visitar de inmediato al veterinario y no buscar ayudarlo por tu propia cuenta ya que los conejos son animales muy delicados de salud. Un error podría causar la muerte de tu mascota.
