Autumn in the Midwestern section of the United States is such a beautiful time of year! I am appreciating the gorgeous colors even more today as I woke up to a bit of snow covering all the leaves. So before the lovely colors all fall to the ground, I'm enjoying the last bit of Autumn!
As the days become shorter and there is less sunlight the leaves of the deciduous trees stop producing chlorophyll. The green colors of summer begin to fade and the hues of yellow, orange, bronze and red become visible.
