En este hermoso dÃa vengo a hablarles sobre girasoles, una de las flores más hermosas y llamativas que existen en la inmensa naturaleza, además de información también les hablaré sobre los cuidados necesarios para poder tener estas plantas en casa y lograr ver su florecimiento. Desde hace mucho tiempo querÃa tener girasoles en mi jardÃn pero no habÃa logrado conseguir las semillas, hasta que finalmente las encontré y pude plantarlas, aquà les muestro todo el proceso y mi experiencia.
On this beautiful day I come to talk to you about sunflowers, one of the most beautiful and striking flowers that exist in the immense nature, in addition to information I will also talk about the necessary care to be able to have these plants at home and see their flowering. For a long time I wanted to have sunflowers in my garden but I had not been able to get the seeds, until I finally found them and was able to plant them, here I show you the whole process and my experience.
El girasol es una planta anual que se caracteriza por tener unas hermosas flores amarillas, un tallo robusto y frutos comestibles. Recibe el nombre de girasol ya que cuando la planta es joven posee unas propiedades que le permiten girar en dirección al sol, a este fenómeno se le llama heliotropismo, y gracias a él pueden recibir la luz y los rayos del sol de manera más directa y asi aprovechar mejor sus propiedades y beneficios.
The sunflower is an annual plant that is characterized by having beautiful yellow flowers, a robust stem and edible fruits. It receives the name of sunflower since when the plant is young it has properties that allow it to rotate in the direction of the sun, this phenomenon is called heliotropism, and thanks to it they can receive the light and the sun's rays more directly and thus take better advantage of its properties and benefits.
Las plantas de girasol son obtenidas por medio de semillas, su época de siembra ideal es en el mes de marzo y florece en el verano. Para su cultivo es necesario que el suelo posea un buen drenaje, las semillas se plantan a unos 5 o 6 cm de profundidad y en aproximadamente 7 o 15 dÃas deben germinar y brotar, el tiempo también dependerá de la temperatura a la que se expongan. En mi caso, cuando planté las semillas, brotaron a los 9 dÃas aproximadamente, luego de que alcanzaron el tamaño suficiente y tomaron algo de fuerza las trasplanté a tierra, ubicándolas en un buen suelo con drenaje y espacio para desarrollarse.
Sunflower plants are obtained by means of seeds, their ideal sowing time is in the month of March and they bloom in the summer. For its cultivation it is necessary that the soil has good drainage, the seeds are planted about 5 or 6 cm deep and in approximately 7 or 15 days they must germinate and sprout, the time will also depend on the temperature to which they are exposed. In my case, when I planted the seeds, they sprouted at approximately 9 days, after they reached sufficient size and took some strength, I transplanted them to the ground, placing them in a good soil with drainage and space to develop.
El riego ideal para las plantas de girasol debe ser moderado y debido a que posee raÃces profundas es capaz de tener acceso a mayor cantidad de agua del suelo, cuando necesitan ser regadas lo demuestran de una manera peculiar descendiendo su follaje y replegando sus corolas. Aunque normalmente son plantas de suelo hay variedades enanas de ella que se pueden cultivar en macetas de al menos unos 40 cm.
The ideal watering for sunflower plants should be moderate and because it has deep roots it is able to have access to a greater amount of water in the soil, when they need to be watered they demonstrate it in a peculiar way by lowering their foliage and folding back their corollas. Although they are normally soil plants, there are dwarf varieties of it that can be grown in pots of at least 40 cm.
Las plantas crecen relativamente rápido, cada dÃa se puede notar la diferencia de tamaño y su rápido crecimiento, a diario pueden verse más altas y desarrolladas, si les damos el cuidado adecuado y necesario que necesitan no tendremos problemas durante todo el proceso, en aproximadamente un mes alcanzan un tamaño considerable y luego, poco a poco comienzan a abrirse las corolas y con el paso de los dÃas se empiezan a formar los pétalos desde adentro y al abrirse se puede observar el lindo y cálido color amarillo que las caracteriza.
Plants grow relatively fast, each day you can notice the difference in size and their rapid growth, daily they can look taller and more developed, if we give them the proper and necessary care they need we will not have problems throughout the process, in approximately one month they reach a considerable size and then, little by little, the corollas begin to open and with the passage of days the petals begin to form from the inside and when they open you can see the beautiful and warm yellow color that characterizes them.
