Greetings Hive!!!

Taking a bit of a break from sharing my music on here and sharing some of the better pics of one the more recent places my children and I have been hiking every week. This place is in the Rio Grande National Forest and can be accessed by Colorado Highway 17 from this place called Red Bear Lodge, where you take State Road 250 north and into the deep wilderness. There are several trails, campgrounds, etc. We haven't yet explored the whole area, but we are planning a camping trip here in the very near future. This high forested valley delves deeply into the San Juan Mountains which is part of the greater Rocky Mountains in Southern Colorado.

In this photo, my daughter Carmilla stands on a cliff just above the Conejos River that runs through the area.

This shot really highlights the beautiful yellow flowers that bloom this time of year.

This is my favorite pic so far from the 3 times we've hiked this area, the Conejos in all its sylvan glory as it flows through the woodlands.

I will be posting more photos from this and other areas soon, so stay tuned!
