“Apples and Tomatoes”
I picked apples, tomatoes, and cucumbers. They are all small but delicious. I hope I can pick them forever. However, we have winter every time after the nice harvest season.
My garden expanded just a little bit this year. I have more vegetables than last year. Recently, I enjoy vegetables. However, the weather is acting very strange this year. April, May, June, and July were very cool. Finally, the end of July and August have been a bit better but still up and down. We have rained a lot so, I didn't need to water my garden much even though we have humid and hot weather.
Hmm... I think vegetables are confused a lot. Many vegetables are smaller than last year. The taste is still good though. I found out that small vegetables are easy to pick and cook. I can't wait to eat my pumpkins. I am planning to plant some seeds in autumn soon. Garlic and some green leaves.
I added nicer soil this year. I want to use more fertilizer next spring. Also, I need to rest some garden beds. If we can build some new garden beds, that would be nice because I can plant more vegetables. Anyway, I will enjoy this harvest season!
"りんごとトマト”
りんご、トマトときゅうりを採りました。全部小ぶりですがおいしいです。ずっとこの野菜の収穫時期が続けばいいのにと思います。でも楽しい収穫期が終わると冬がやってきます。
去年に比べて、庭の野菜の種類が少し増えました。近頃は野菜を食べるのが楽しみです。ところが、今年の天気はとてもおかしいです。４月、５月、６月と７月はとても涼しかったです。やっと７月の後半から８月にかけて天気が良くなりましたが、まだ不安定です。雨が多くて、蒸し暑い日でも水をあげなくてもいい日が多かったです。
多分野菜は混乱しているようです。味はいいのですが、去年より小さい野菜が多いです。小さな野菜は摘み取りやすくて料理しやすいです。カボチャが待ち遠しいです。もうすぐニンニクと葉物の種を蒔こうと考えています。
今年はいい土を加えました。来年はもっと肥料を使いたいと思います。それから少し畑を休ませる必要もありそうです。休ませている間に、別の場所にも畑を作れば違う種類の野菜を植えれるので良さそうです。今は収穫時期を楽しみたいです。
