Going through my archive last weekend looking back at the last time, I was overseas sought of shocked me, as I would travel overseas at least once a year but, it also bought back some great memories, which will keep my dream alive that, I will travel again soon. These photos that, I came across took me back to my long Californian vacation to Danville Town just over 4 years ago where, I was visiting my cousin and his wife, in my duration of time, I spend in America we traveled many states and in this post, I will be taking you to the beautiful Red Rock Canyon in Las Vegas Nevada.
On this particular trip we were leaving from Danville Town and heading all the way to Las Vegas Casino in my cousins black Mustang not only was it going to be a classic drive along the highways, but I was looking forward to seeing Red Rock Canyon they say it's the most scenic place in southern Nevada, with it's towering red rocks some as high as 1,800 feet, it will be a incredible natural wonder to see. Red Rock Canyon, in Nevada was the first National Conservation Area which spans over more than 195,000 acres of towering red rock sandstone peaks, and ancient petroglyphs.
Arriving at Red Rock Canyon after a long most amazing scenic drive along the mountainous and desert highways was certainly a spectacular sight to take in looking at these brimming landscapes with those vibrant red landscapes and vistas, was just overwhelming and breathtaking. I just wanted to touch these red rocks and climb to the top of these towering red rocks.
We had not planed to camp out or stay any length of time in the canyon, just a few hours to climb around and hike around a bit so we decided to take the Calico Basin Trail which is an easy 0.6 mile trail, it was enough to get up to the peak of this red rock, so we could observe the sunset before heading to Las Vegas Casino, we were like less then 20 miles from Las Vegas city, so we had time for a hike up to this towering peak of this red rock to watch the sunset.
This would be one place, I could spend more time with more then 30 miles of picturesque hiking trails and a 13 mile scenic drive and much more, I honestly didn't want to leave this place but we had our plans. There is much to do and see amongst these beautiful landscapes, great for families they can come down to red rocks for a picnic do a bit of climbing with the kids or horseback riding, there is something for everybody here in red rocks.
I found Red Rock, a true experience of freedom away from the hustle and bustle of city noise and traffic, a few nights here under the dazzling glowing stars would certainly be recommend for stress relief therapy, for me just seeing this wonder of nature took all my stress away and finishing the day off looking at a sunset across these red rock mountainous landscape just put me in the most relaxed mood that, I was ready to take a nap up here on this red rock but we were on a mission to win a few hands on our skillful black-jack game at the Las Vegas casino.
