When I entered the forest today, I felt an intense mushroom smell and as I started looking carefully and looking for a possible source of this smell, I found the first mushrooms quite quickly. They were artist's bracket fungus growing on a cut trunk. These mushrooms looked amazing and reminded me of sweets that you can buy in a confectionery, such as chocolate gingerbread, which was painted on the bottom with white frosting.
Gdy weszłam dzisiaj do lasu poczułam intensywny zapach grzybów i jak zaczęłam się uważnie rozglądać i szukać możliwego źródła tego zapachu dość szybko znalazłam pierwsze grzyby. Były to rosnące na uciętym pniu lakownice spłaszczone. Te grzyby wyglądały niesamowicie i przypominały mi słodkości, które można kupić w cukierni, np. czekoladowego piernika, który z dołu został pomalowany białym lukrem.
Recently, in this forest I saw another, much smaller artist's bracket fungus, which had a slightly different color. The white underside of the mushroom was similar.
Niedawno w tym lesie widziałam inną, o wiele mniejszą lakownicę spłaszczoną, która miała nieco inną barwę. Podobny był za to ten biały spód.
It is an inedible fungus that is harmful to the tree.
Jest to grzyb niejadalny, szkodliwy dla drzewa.
