El Girasol es una planta herbácea de tallo grueso que genera una hermosa flor amarilla y en la misma posee las semillas, que a través de estas se pueden reproducir dichas plantas; pero también estas semillas son comestibles especialmente por las aves.

Se dice que su nombre es dado ya que cuando la planta es joven gira en dirección al sol para así aprovechar los rayos de este y nutrirse de vitaminas para poder dar aceite y harina para el consumo; esta es una de las razones por la cuales esta hermosa flor es tan especial pues ya que ninguna otra puede girar en busca del sol.

El girasol es una planta que puede darse con facilidad ya que al caer la semilla en el suelo, esta puede tardar en germinar entre cinco y diez días, su tallo es muy robusto y peludo el cual puede llegar a medir hasta tres metros de altura; en cuanto a las hojas estas son similares a una pala y lo que es la flor puede medir entre cinco y cuarenta centímetros de ancho, por lo que la raíz de esta planta se ancla fuertemente de la tierra para poder sostener el peso cuando esta florece.

El Girasol es representativo de la felicidad ya que este tiene mucho que ver con el sol el cual representa y proyecta positivismo, energía, felicidad y fertilidad; por eso se dice que los girasoles representan larga vida.aunque esto siempre va a depender de las creencias y cultura de cada región, por ejemplo en la Mitología Griega se dice que la ninfa Clytia se enamoro locamente del Dios del Sol y como no fue correspondida se le partió el corazón muriendo así de pena y fue entonces cuando la ninfa se convirtió en girasol para poder seguir a su eterno amor a donde fuera.
The sunflower is representative of happiness because it has a lot to do with the sun which represents and projects positivism, energy, happiness and fertility; that is why it is said that sunflowers represent long life. La hermosa y llamativa flor del girasol representa la naturaleza increíble porque es una flor única en su estilo ya que a simple vista parece ser simple pero esta forma parte de muchas elegantes decoraciones ademas de ser tomadas por muchos artistas para sus obras de artes por ello se pueden apreciar en espectaculares cuadros que llaman la atención del observador, también la podemos encontrar en los estampados textiles, diseños para uñas y como si fuese poco esta nos ofrece muchas propiedades al ser baja en sodio y colesterol por razón por la cual es sumamente recomendado usar el aceite de girasol pero a su vez consumir las semillas tostadas con sal.
The beautiful and striking flower of the sunflower represents the incredible nature because it is a unique flower in its style because at first glance it seems to be simple but it is part of many elegant decorations as well as being taken by many artists for their works of art so it can be seen in spectacular paintings that attract the attention of the observer, We can also find it in textile prints, nail designs and as if that were not enough this offers many properties to be low in sodium and cholesterol for which reason it is highly recommended to use sunflower oil but in turn consume the seeds roasted with salt.
