Como ya les he comentado las limitaciones que implican la cuarentena me impiden el poder salir a tomar mis fotografías como antes lo hacía. Por ello decidí centrar mi atención en mi diminuto jardín y miren lo que hoy les traigo unas cuantas tomas macro de mis orquídeas Filipinas.
As I have already told you, the limitations that quarantine implies prevent me from being able to go out and take my photographs as I used to do. So I decided to focus my attention on my tiny garden and look at what I have brought you today, a few macro shots of my Philippine orchids.
Esta especie de orquídeas originaria de Asia, a diferencia de la mayoría de las orquídeas tiene hábitos terrestres, es decir, crece directamente en la tierra. Gracias a esta peculiaridad, se ganó el apodo popular de orquídeas de jardín.
This species of orchids originated in Asia, unlike most other orchids, has terrestrial habits, that is, it grows directly in the ground. Thanks to this peculiarity, it earned the popular nickname of garden orchids.
Spathoglottis Plicata, es el nombre con que se le conoce a nivel científico, a esta planta de orquídeas, que gracias a su facilidad de cultivo, desarrollo rápido y hermosas flores, se ha convertido una de las variedades de orquídeas más abundante del mundo.
Spathoglottis Plicata, is the name by which this orchid plant is known at a scientific level. Thanks to its ease of cultivation, rapid development and beautiful flowers, it has become one of the most abundant varieties of orchids in the world.
Finalmente, una característica que me parece genial de esta planta es que florece casi todo el año, así que, mi jardín casi siempre está adornado con estas hermosas flores.
Finally, one feature that I find great about this plant is that it flowers almost year-round, so my garden is almost always adorned with these beautiful flowers.
