The rainy season or winter in my country, is the most awaited time of the year, first of all, because the rivers and lakes fill up, the weather cools down, the trees grow filling all the hills with beautiful green, the air is cleaned and also the whole environment is filled with animals such as snails or butterflies that take advantage of the abundant vegetation to eat their fill and reproduce.
La temporada de lluvia o el invierno en mi país, es el momento más esperado del año, primeramente porque los ríos y lagos se llenan, el clima se refresca, los arboles crecen llenando de un hermoso verde todas las colinas, se limpia el aire y además todo el ambiente se llena de animales como los caracoles o las mariposas que aprovechan que hay abundante vegetación para comer hasta saciarse y reproducirse.
Another advantage that I can find of the rainy season is that it is the specific time where I get the best photos of the whole year, since everything blooms in a great diversity of colors, it is possible to appreciate the flowers and the shades wherever you go. For example, in my backyard, I can get some stunning photos that show me that in the rain we can also find beauty. Since I can find a beautiful kind of sunflower that only appears when the rainy season begins, it is a small sunflower with more scattered petals and smaller seeds, although the color is still that intense yellow ocher, the shape is different from the traditional sunflower.
Otra ventaja que puedo encontrar de la temporada lluviosa es que es el tiempo específico donde consigo las mejores fotos de todo el año, ya que como todo florece en mucha diversidad de colores es posible apreciar las flores y los matices a donde sea que vayas. Por ejemplo en mi patio puedo conseguir algunas fotos impresionantes que me demuestran que en la lluvia también podemos encontrar belleza. Ya que puedo encontrar una hermosa clase de girasol que solo aparece cuando comienza la temporada lluviosa, se trata de un girasol pequeño y de pétalos más dispersos y de semilla más pequeña, Aunque el color sigue siendo ese amarillo ocre intenso, la forma es distinta al girasol tradicional.
Something curious is that I have tried to sow the seed and water it every day, but in the hot season and it never grows, no matter how much care I apply such as the ideal soil, fertilizer, vitamins, or other care, it never happens. One last curious detail about sunflowers is that they are not just one flower it is a huge composite flower, as each little dot we see in the center is a flower, and besides the sunflower, there are other species of flowers that are also composites.
Algo curioso es que he intentado sembrar la semilla y regarla todos los días, pero en la época calurosa y no crece nunca, sin importar cuantos cuidados le aplique como la tierra ideal, fertilizante, vitaminas u otro cuidado, nunca se da. Un último detalle curioso acerca de los girasoles es que no son solamente una flor, de hecho es una enorme flor compuesta, ya que cada puntito que vemos en el centro es una flor, y además del girasol hay otras especies de flores que también son compuestas.

Volviendo a la belleza que surge con la llegada de la lluvia, tambien esta todo el musgo y distintos tipos de hongos que aparecen cuando la humedad es alta, por ejemplo este musgo o planta de la humedad aparece por las partes baja de las paredes ya que como estan a nivel del suelo es mas facil que la humedad permanezca mas tiempo. Aunque tambien aparece en las piedras o los arboles que estan bajo una sombra constante.
Other animals that appear a lot in the rainy seasons are snails and slugs without shells, since the climate is humid, it is ideal to reproduce and eat all the available vegetation, although these are very common snails where I live, in recent years there has been an intense plague of African snails that eliminate any plant they touch, I am about to think that when in summer they hide in the ground to avoid the heat, these snails are responsible for the sunflower can not be born.
Otros animales que surgen mucho en las temporadas lluviosas son los caracoles y babosas sin concha, ya que como el clima es húmedo, es el ideal para reproducirse y comer de toda la vegetación disponible, aunque estos son caracoles muy comunes en donde vivo, en años recientes ha habido una intensa plaga de caracoles africanos que eliminan cualquier planta que toquen, estoy por pensar que cuando en verano se esconden en la tierra para evitar el calor, son estos caracoles los responsables de que el girasol no pueda nacer.
Finally, something that I also like about the rainy season is when the leaves of the plants retain the water that falls on them and little by little absorb, it is incredible to see the great adhesion with which the leaves retain the water since some are leaves with a smooth texture but they still retain the water. Even the cactus that has no leaves also uses a similar mechanism to retain rainwater with its intricate spines, it can retain a little water that helps it grow and strengthen during the dry season.
Por ultimo, algo que tambien me gusta de la época lluviosa es cuando las hojas de las plantas retienen el agua que cae sobre ellas y poco a poco la absorben, es increíble ver la gran adhesión con la que las hojas retienen el agua ya que algunas son hojas con una contextura lisa pero de igual forma represan el agua. Incluso el cactus que no tiene hojas, tambien usa un mecanismo similar para retener el agua de lluvia con sus intrincadas espinas, hace que pueda retener un poco de agua que lo ayuda a crecer y fortalecerse durante la epoca de sequía.
