Geocaching - An amazing hike close to Aalesund, Norway

Me and my boyfriend, @pusen, started with geocaching a few years ago. I wasn't that excited about it at first, but I soon figured out we would be missing out on MANY beautiful places if we didn't geocached.

I want to show you a beautiful trip we went on last summer. It's one hour from Aalesund, Norway. It's a place few people know of. We actually didn't find any caches, because of too much snow and melting ice, but we had one of our favorite trips anyways!

We went on this trip during the summer and the temperatures was about 20 C degrees. It's always a lot of snow here in the winter, and all the snow isn't melted before August.

The reason why we didn't find any caches was actually because of the melting snow. The first cache were by a bridge. But because a lot of water in the river, the bridge wasn't there either😅

The second cache was further in the valley as shown on the picture below. But it was too dangerous to go over the snow. It's a lot of water underneath it, and we wouldn't take the risk for falling through it and drown.

Me and @pusen didn't meet anyone on this trip, because the place is so unknown. I really love that, feeling like the nature is untouched. It's so many places where they cut down the woods, building houses and destroying the home for animals. I felt like I went on their property.

We did see a deer and an eagle on that hike, but also some traces after a hare and a few frogs.

We have a plan to take these caches one day, we are hoping for a new opportunity next year.

This is one of the reasons why I love geocaching. You never know what beautiful places you are going to explore.

Have you ever tried geocaching? 😄
