A Walk along the River Wye in Derbyshire, UK

The River Wye, flowing through the picturesque Peak District in Derbyshire, is known for its clear waters and wildlife.

The river is fed by lots of springs, so it has a constant flow of fresh, clean water.

Tomorrow's forecast predicts rain, so we thought it was best to take advantage of any dry weather.

The trees provide a lovely backdrop for the river, but they also serve an ecological function. The roots of the trees help to secure the soil along the riverbanks, preventing erosion and helping the river stay clear and healthy.

I can remember in another area a lot of trees were chopped down that were growing on a banking area. After it rained hard, the place flooded, which led to landslides as there were no trees to stop the flooding. It wasn't a good idea

The Wye is also known for it’s Wild Rainbow Trout, Wild Brown Trout and Grayling. Being a vegetarian I hope the fish don't get caught!
