Pueden atrapar a otros animales mas pequeños que ellos para alimentarse, antes de colocar la cria en la tierra le dejan un animal que ellos cazaron.

Con ellos se me es facil fotografiarlo debido a que no le temen a nada, incluso mueven sus alas de una manera agresiva y hasta pueden picarnos si los molestamos.
De pequeño colocaba unos palitos en la cueva que hacian estas avispas y salia un pequeño gusano aferrado del palo, quizas era la primera forma.
