Tree Tuesday: Majestic holm oak

Days ago, during the Christmas holidays, I took a walk through the countryside near my hometown...

Suddenly, I found this fantastic tree, certainly very old and a living testimony of ancient times!

It was a beautiful holm oak (Quercus rotundifolia) and it was huge!

In the last photo, my sister (1,73 m) appears next to the tree trunk to give you an idea of its size!

Truly amazing... Don't you think?
