@flowerbaby and I went to the zoo together for the first time. Neither one of us had been in a long time. It was only about a 3 hour drive away for us to Columbus, OH.
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is a really awesome place. I was surprised at how big the park actually was.
There were 5 different sections:
Upon arrival, we took a quick look at the map to see what all there was to discover. After that we made our way through the entire zoo and aquarium. It took us a total of 3 hours to cover everything.
There were many different types of animals, and some animals who were supposed to be there were not outside that day. We saw several amazing creatures. Some of our favorites were the Okapi, Manatee, Cheetah, Giraffe, Penguins, Manta Ray, Gorilla, and Elephants.
We didn’t take photos of every single animal that we saw, but did snap quite a few. We were more focused on just watching the different animals do their daily things. It was quite interesting, the gorillas especially. I felt as though I were watching beings.
I think we were torn on whether the animals were or were not happy. I kept trying to tell myself that perhaps the animals like how easy their life has become and little chances of death by predator. On the other hand, @flowerbaby kept thinking that the animals were sad. I’m sure both of us were right.
