Hiking all Saturday
This weekend @flowerbaby and I went hiking together for the first time in 2021. The weather has finally warmed up here and it was a cloudless Saturday. We made the mutual decision to visit the Red River Gorge area in Kentucky. The Daniel Boone National forest in Red River Gorge is about a 3 hour drive from where we are in West Virginia. Of course the driving time absolutely flew by with sounds of music, conversation, and sightseeing of the rural KY landscape. I was especially happy with the route we took, there was very little traffic and some great roads to drive on.
There are tons of different trails at Red River Gorge. Some are long and require overnight camping. Others are a bit more causal. Then there are options that are in between with some slight difficulty. We stuck with the casual and moderate difficulty hikes. In total we ended up doing 4 different trails. I will be doing a separate blog with photos for each trail.
The first trail we hiked was called Princess Arch. In total this one was just over half a mile long. It only took us about 20-30 to finish this brief trail. There were some awesome views and only a few other people while we were out there.

Thanks for checking out my blog 😎🤝
Stay tuned over the next few days for more posts about our hiking adventure in Kentucky. This is just the start, our adventure lead to some spectacular views of nature.
